Trash TV - The Bachelor/The Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise

I felt that Maria was manipulating things last night. Joey didn’t seem thrilled about keeping her. I wonder if production nudged that one. Rachel seemed shocked that she was offered a rose.

I wasn’t crazy about what Maria did so far into things either.

I feel more and more sorry for Joey with each episode, maybe that’s the way they want me to feel.

Daisy doesn’t seem that into him, even at this point, I like Rachel but I don’t think she’s a match, so Kelsey seems like a best bet.

I have no idea what was going on with Maria - I think she likes him but her actions did seem manipulative, and when he pulled her aside before the rose ceremony she had a real chance to express herself, and then didn’t (?!?).

But as @JustaMom said - Jasper? WOW! :deciduous_tree: :deciduous_tree: :sunny: :sunny:

While I really really like Rachel, I was SHOCKED she got a rose and Jenn didn’t. I thought Jenn was a shoo in for hometown visits. Rachel’s hometown looks ROUGH though.

Yeah, I think that Joey is really physically attracted to Maria but I don’t know if he is up for the roller coaster that is Maria. And her Dad looks like a TRIP!

I think that he and Daisy have been “an item” from the start but that she needs more time. I have wondered from early on if it’s SHE that leaves him standing alone at the proposal - that she can’t say yes at that point. I know nothing but it’s just a feeling. I don’t know that she seems like his forever person - honestly I thought that Jenn seemed to fit that bill!

And Kelsey T (?) - she seems like a lovely girl in so many ways….but I see him with someone a little more edge (?)……but not as much edge as Maria!

Things are going to be interesting!

Oh and Jasper (honestly I don’t know if I’ve heard of it) looked unbelievably gorgeous!

I wish they would make Jenn the next Bachelorette… :crossed_fingers:

You know, I don’t know that she would do well with that? I just thought she and Joey were good together - actually both kind of quiet and fun but also a little reserved.

I don’t really like to play the game of who gets what role next. And NEXT, is going to be The Golden Bachelorette anyway I’m guessing?! That’s scheduled for Fall 2024 I think?

I think she’s pretty bubbly and would rise to it. There certainly have been a series of ladies that seemed more suited to it that ended up being a bit of a mess.

Somewhere up thread someone mentioned Daisy’s political views. I wonder if that was ever discussed.

All I know for sure is that Maria’s dad is going to be a major red flag and future internet meme!!

Anyone have thoughts on who will be the next Bachelorette?

If it’s someone from this season I think there are plenty of choices. I mean, it’s not like in the past the chosen one is a shoo in - who would have ever guessed Zach to be the Bachelor?!!

I’ve heard people say Maria, Kelsey T, Jenn, Daisy…many of them could be. Lexi was one name but with her timeline for a family probably not.

For some reason so many in this group feel young to me. I mean of course they are, but I feel like they seem especially young as a group. Too bad BIP is not in the works for this year as I think many of this year’s cast would float right on over to the island!

I have never watched the Bachelor but my DS has played tennis against Joey so I am eager to watch the hometown visits. Do we know when those are scheduled? Every time he is in the area the media goes crazy.

All of the episodes were filmed months ago, so if there was a big hoopla it’s already happened.

But Hometowns AIR tomorrow night. 8pm EST.

I think you’ve got to tell us a little more about this tennis relationship! :tennis:

Hometowns are when he visits the hometowns of the women, not when they visit his hometown.

Early on, the final two used to visit the family of the lead at their home. Now they fly the family to the location where the final proposal will be. Joey’s final rose ceremony was mid November, 2023

I like Rachel’s family so much. I think he should cut her loose now if it’s not going to be her in the end.

Y’all I audibly gasped with that last rose!

As stated after the first week, I looked up the final four so the whole season has not shocked me, but I really was surprised by the one let go. Joey is, like, I don’t know, emotionally mature? I don’t expect that from the bachelors!

I loved seeing the families and can see strong similarities to the women. The fact that Maria had never brought anyone home to meet her family before would have scared me.

I was surprised by who went home, although, honestly, she needs to be able to be vulnerable (I struggle with that too, so I get it).

I loved Rachel’s hometown so much! But no “date” just family time? That’s unique.

Did I zone out during the season? Can someone refresh my memory…Maria had a life altering accident?

All three left are decent choices. I personally adore Rachel.
