Tuition Exchange for Fall 2024 (Class of 2028)

No and it’s driving me bananas. :joy:

Not here and it is also driving me bananas.

We have one TE offer (not full tuition) and one decline from the 8 acceptances so far. Waiting on one more RD school decision.

I have to say I am completely nervous about this whole thing.

The waiting is excruciating. I had thought, having been through this once, I would be better at managing it, but no. It’s just as intense and worrisome as before.

So far, Twin A has two TE offers and Twin B has one. I did reach out to the TE liaison at Twin B’s top choice and was told that the delayed roll out of the FAFSA has pushed back notifications until March (when S21 applied there, we knew about TE by the end of January).

I also checked in with the TE liaison at our home institution, and they said that the changes to the FAFSA, combined with the delayed roll out, have created utter chaos for the financial aid department. If this is the case with most schools, I anticipate a longer wait time than usual this year.

The waiting IS hard (mom of a s23 at Cuse on TE this year). And to add to that, he had a couple schools that waitlisted him for TE, and one even waitlisted, rejected, then offered him TE (baldwin wallace) so it was a financial rollercoaster for sure!

My son got an email from Elon saying he was waitlisted for TE. They had 150 applications and had 3 slots this year.

Same stats as last year. Getting Elon has always been extremely difficult, given they only give out 3.

Still waiting on admission decisions for the two TE schools on our list. :crossed_fingers:

Just found out Twin A got the tuition exchange at Richmond! It was one of his top choices, so lots of happiness in this house tonight.

Just got an email from Clark denying TE. They are set rate and let us know that with merit and aid we are actually getting better than the set rate of 42K. So I guess it is a win but also feels like a lose.

Another school I emailed to see when they would send out their decisions and they said mid March. That school is full tuition so crossing fingers for that one.

Congrats on Richmond!!

Money is money–if you get more than set rate, that’s fantastic!

True, but it is a pretty high tuition.

Truth. Most of the schools my twins are applying to are set rate; a few are full. It’s a lot of money, any way you slice it.

Son received TE at Richmond tonight too!

Awesome! Congratulations!

We were put on the waitlist for Clark TE, but they said they only give it to 3 students and had over 80 apply. I didn’t realize it was that tough.

It really is tough when there are so few spots and so many applicants!

D24 received her first TE offer last night from Richmond. Richmond is a set rate of 42k but they also awarded her a presidential scholarship which brings it up to full tuition and she’s a finalist for the scholarship that includes room and board. I mention because it means that Richmond stacks the aid awards for those that were wondering. Very exciting!

D24 got it also! So excited and so thankful they released decisions with admission!

Syracuse which gives set rate stacked for my S23 as well. Initially gave him a half tuition merit offer which then dropped to 20k after TE was awarded. So it is still free tuition.

Jacksonville U gave my son full tuition merit offer and never awarded TE.
