Thank you!
If for some reason we get something different that she likes better we will definitely withdraw our TE.

Thatâs wonderful news! So happy for all of you!
Just stress venting/ waiting and hoping someone has any insight. Waiting on TE at Pitt, Syracuse (and admissions), SMU and American. SMU is new I believe to tuition exchange so I havenât seen anything about when they award it etc. I also have not seen anything about TE and American on any of the previous TE threads. Pitt I know is super competitive it I am holding out hope that the holistic view is true and Syracuse is my kiddos dream.
Right there with you. Hoping news will come from Pitt this week!
Pittâs website says TE notification by âend of Februaryâ and Syracuseâs says âwithin 2 weeks of date of admission.â Syracuse says admission notifications are âlate March.â So probably still a while to wait on thoseâŠthough Iâd love to be wrong, LOL!
End of Feb isnât too far away. The late March feels like eternity though
If I remember correctly from last year many of the TE kids didnât even get into Syracuse or maybe got on a wait list. That would really stink.
I just looked back at my sonâs email. Syracuse emailed âUpdate to your application statusâ on March 24th last year. (Updated to add he applied RD).
We went to one of the last Admitted students days on April 16-18.
Final financial aid/cost email came April 24th.
Syra cuse did not push through TE to TE portal until June 24th.
I have heard of people already receiving TE for Syracuse.
But not for RD , right? Those decisions for admission havenât even come out.
Good point. Maybe. They didnât share that information with me.
Thanks! I noticed that last year several people on the TE 2023 thread reported hearing from Pitt around Feb 1 or 2. Hoping something similar happens this yearâŠ
Update
D24 has applied & been accepted to 9 schools in Indiana. In the last 24 hours, she has received 2 additional TE awards and another a few weeks ago.
As of today, she has been offered TE at 5 schools; Marian, Valpo, Holy Cross, Huntington, and Butler.
Fitting in a few more tours soon, with a difficult decision to follow!
Awesome results! Congrats
Just posting an update for those waiting. Daughter applied to 10 TE schools. Accepted to all and given TE at Univ of Scranton, Seton Hall, and Butler. Waiting to hear back on 2 others then will commit. Second time around doing this. Parents, please post updates as you receive them from schools. Once your child receives an award there is no risk of losing it if you disclose this. We are all in this together!
TE received at Fairfield.
Great idea. I think I have already said mine but I will put it all in one place. Applied to 9 TE schools. Accepted into 8 waiting for RD decision for 9th.
Denied TE - Drexel
Denied TE - Clark but given merit and aid that is more than their set rate
Awarded TE - Seton Hall - full tuition
Awarded TE - Willamette - set rate (wonât cover full tuition with that and merit)
I really hope everyone gets a great TE choice to choose from.
Drexel is very tough to get. Congrats on the others.
I think I posted these above but just in case:
Clark- waitlisted for TE
Wheaton MA- given TE for set rate
Merrimack- given full tuition TE
Waiting on several- biggest on the list for my son are Syracuse (his dream and not an option without TE), Pitt (my dream), SMU (dadâs dream and not an option without TE), and American which would be an great fit all around but not affordable without TE. We are still waiting on Syracuse and American admission as well.
Exactly. And from a past (and repeat future) TE parent, please release those schools you got TE from if your child knows they are not going to attend. All of us 100% understand casting a VERY wide net in this TE game so not offended when students apply (or are awarded) at multiple schools. In the end you can only choose 1 though.
Thanks so much!
