Hi everyone! I found a post from Excel_Dad where he said that the spreadsheet was open for editing so I made a new tab for the Class of 2028.
It is ready for you to add your info for this year’s admissions/tuition exchange cycle. The data from last year is all still there labeled ‘2023’ and the new spreadsheet for this year is labeled ‘2024’. You can click the +/- at the top to expand or hide the info about the school to see the area on the right where you should input your data.
Enter your College Confidential username and your student’s stats (Rank, GPA uw/w, test scores and AP classes. You can choose the dropdown for the school that your student applied to with either awarded, rejected or waitlisted. If a school that your student applied to is not listed, you can add a row and add the data. If you aren’t sure how to do so, tag me in a comment on the Tuition Exchange post.
this will be super helpful to future parents. very nice of you to do this. However, I do think you should add a row for other info about ECs. I know a lot of schools are not picking TE (and other merit) just based on these stats. I think the use of just GPA/test scores might be misleading to future applicants.
I just duplicated what had been done for last year. I added another row so you can add any EC info that you would like. There is really not that much room given the format but you can type into that area now.
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate you starting this year’s sheet, and all of the folks willing to enter data. It’s super helpful to have, and I’ll be sure to pay it forward next year.
I added three schools to the end of the spreadsheet, I didn’t add them properly alphabetically b/c I would have messed up the entire spreadsheet. I also could not figure out how to copy the toggle choices so I just put accepted for Suffolk. I clearly would benefit from one of the excel spreadsheet courses my university is always offering.
I might also add “non admitted” as a choice. I wonder if some schools let in kids who qualify for TE because they see its a fellow university colleague- or if other places where it’s been rumored to be more difficult to get in if you want TE.
Interesting, my kid was rejected from a school we saw as a safety and we wondered if it was because she was also applying for TE or if it was because a lot of kids applied from her school. (But according to naviance, she’s the first to ever be rejected after years of lots of kids applying there…)
It could. That might be nice to add as well. I also like the option of adding about merit. While we were denied TE at Clark they gave merit to make up for it. In fact the merit is more than the TE which is nice.
