Tuition Exchange for Fall 2024 (Class of 2028)

I knew that my sons gpa was only a small part of who he was. I know TE does look at it but his 3.4 gpa did get him a few TE offers.

That happened to mine last year. Awarded Pitt TE (which was rumored to be about a 5% acceptance last year), but wait-listed at a 50% acceptance school with 11-40% TE rate. Also accepted to several selective LAC’s (11-12%)
. Now wishing she had taken the Pitt TE! She came home after first semester applying as a transfer now. Can’t even apply to Pitt for fall because she only has 16 credits.

Hi. Anyone hear from Drexel?

As far as TE? We were denied but they let us know right away. My D applied EA.

Really? Mmm
my daughter applied EA too and we’ve heard nothing
it still says “awaiting decision” ugh. Annoying. Thanks for your reply!

Well maybe that is a better sign for you!

We actually got a letter from Drexel first, the TE site only just updated within the last few weeks.

You might email the TE person from Drexel. From the spreadsheet it looks like the decisions should have been out Feb 1st.

@Bessie_McNamara Drexel is our home institution. I would definitely email them. My husband, who works there, said there was a pause on all decisions last month because of FAFSA issues, but I think you should have heard by now. You should also contact financial aid, because Drexel negotiates on financial aid packages.

Thanks all! I sent the email. Hopefully I hear tomorrow.

Busy TE day here. TE Waitlisted at Duquesne and Xavier. Got TE at Marymount

I’m super curious about waitlists. This is our 3rd waitlisted school and one of them is the #1 choice for S24. Curious how often anyone gets off the waitlist and gets a spot

How were you notified? Just checked our portal - shows denied at Duquesne and waitlisted at Baldwin-Wallace. Applied to Xavier but I don’t see anything from them (have had issues though getting their emails).

Congrats on Marymount!

All on emails, sent today. Only Duquesne updated the TE website so far

Son awarded TE at St. John’s University today. I added it to the bottom of the spreadsheet but didn’t insert in alpha order (I didn’t want to mess it up).

Congrats!!

Hopefully we will all be hearing from other schools soon!

Another thing on the spreadsheet it says we were denied TE at SMU but we didn’t even apply there. I tried to take it off but it still says it. Not sure how it got there in the first place. I may have accidentally marked it?

My son was awarded TE at BW last year after waitlisted. He turned it down though.

tcl2b1g - I updated St. John’s to alpha order so hopefully everything looks good there.

Acpurle22 - I do not see anything for you under Southern Methodist University so maybe your changes took.

Nice to see all this feedback rolling in

Do you also mind adding Seattle university? Should be hearing from them soon. Doesn’t look good for TE but you never know.

I have forgotten because this thread has become so long  but is anyone trying for TE at DePaul?

If so, have you visited?

D24 applied but we haven’t visited. Went with the “cast a wide net approach.” I think my daughter would like this school but I’m afraid if she went to Chicago I’d never see her again
. If she is lucky enough to be awarded TE we will visit.

I do wonder about demonstrated interest with this process. Would be interested in hearing if you guys think visiting the school has played a part in receiving or not receiving your offers
. from the responses I have gotten back so far I do think the campus visit (or lack of it) is considered in the decision.

Interesting. I am not quite sure.

We did visit two of the schools that we have received TE at (so far). The third we haven’t visited and probably won’t be able to.

We are going to visit DePaul at the end of March so I will let you know how it goes. My D just had an interview Sat for a Scholarship in their Accounting Honors program. Not sure if that means we won’t get TE or ? Still it was a good experience for her to do and she learned a lot about their Accounting Honors which she is very interested in.
