Thank you for responding! So helpful! We’ve got some good options, but we’re crossing our fingers this WL turns into an acceptance – TE or not ![]()
I don’t know much about High Point at all. Do they give good merit without TE?
It might help to email the TE coordinator (or whoever sent the email) to ask what number you are on the wait list, and how many spots were given. Gives you a better idea…maybe. My S24 was wait listed at his top school and he’s 17 on the list. A loooot of people need to decline for him to get a spot (they give 8). Having the info is forcing him to start thinking about his plans.
I just went in and looked at the spreadsheet and saw that someone had deleted the row with the labels and moved other info around on the EC row, so data that had been entered was gone. I looked back to old versions and copied and pasted what I could to get it back. Please try to be careful to only edit the column with your name so that we can keep the spreadsheet accurate and clean. If you are not sure how to add another school feel free to tag me in a comment and I will do it for you. Thanks!
Thanks for doing that. I hope I didn’t accidentally do that, but if so, I apologize.
Really appreciate all your help in doing the spreadsheet. ![]()
Has anyone heard from Marquette Dayton or Saint Louis?
No–waiting on all three, too. I know that Dayton’s TE decisions have been pushed back due to the delay with the FAFSA. I was told decisions would be coming in the next few weeks.
From Marquette…
FACHEX and TEP Review and Notification – March-May 2024: FACHEX and TEP awards are competitive, and merit based. Decisions for these awards are based entirely on the credentials included in the student’s admission application to Marquette University. Initial FACHEX and TEP award notifications are typically made in early March of the senior year. All admitted and TEP- or FACHEX-eligible students will receive notification of their standing, whether they have been offered an award, have been placed on the wait list, or have not been offered an award. As a reference, for each of the past five years additional FACHEX or TEP awards have become available after the initial award offer(s) were made in March and were offered to students originally placed on the FACHEX or TEP wait list from April through May.
Thanks. I have taht info I was just wondering if anyone had heard from them. I am wondering if any awards went out. Thanks!
So excited! My D received TE from Seattle University. Full tuition plus got in their honors program. Adding to the spreadsheet now!
Thats so amazing! Congratulations!
Thank you! It may our best choice ($ wise) so far (as we are on the west coast).
High Point only has 2 TE awards. 1 goes to a female and 1 to a male. I was very disappointed when we learned that. However, HPU is very generous with merit outside of the TE scholarship. They do not heavily discount like many schools but they provide plenty of opportunities for the students to be awarded fellowship. Hope this is helpful.
I think this was for @2plustrio but good info.
My D is on the Richmond’s TE waitlist. Hopefully, they redistribute it our way. I am not optimistic that she will get one bc liaison told me they have not gone to the TE waiting list in the last 5 years. My D is still holding out hope because UR is her top choice school but will not be able attend unless she is awarded the TE.
Maybe this is the year they go to the waitlist. Crossing fingers for you!
I hope so but if not, she will probably be going to Rollins College. It is a really good school with a lovely campus like UR and they gave her the TE.
You’re right. Sorry about that. I am new to this.
No worries at all. I just wanted her to see it so that is why I tagged her. ![]()
My child is also likely to decline his TE offer at Richmond- fingers crossed for you!
