Tuition Exchange for Fall 2024 (Class of 2028)

I emailed the liaison at RIT to inquire about timing of TE notification. She told me they hoped to notify this week.

edited to add: I just went back and looked at the email exchange. She said “mid-March”
which I mentally converted to be this week  So
maybe this week?

I’m hoping we all hear a lot this week and maybe even today! Many of the colleges state they provide notification by 3/15. And last Monday seemed to be a popular day for announcements

Mine hasn’t heard her RD decision yet on the one school that she is hoping for a CIC waiver, so I am losing hope that it will happen for her. The one school that she’s been admitted to did update on how they award, and as she is an average kid, it’s unlikely she will be awarded it (and it’s not her favorite.)
“what’s meant for her won’t miss her” is the mantra of the year

We got notifications from Shenandoah (approved) and Adelphi (denied) today.

Would you add Catholic as well- sorry, I guess we applied to a bunch of schools no one had before! (and we were waitlisted in case anyone is waiting, received a notice in the actual mail today).

For anybody that received TE from Adelphi and are not going to use it please decline your offer. I have a friend on the wait list

Did they get the waitlist notification today?

They might want to find out where they are on the waitlist if they don’t already know. If it is way down there they probably aren’t going to get it.

Waitlist at Robert Morris. This was a late addition for us. I’m not all that surprised since it is 30 mins away and we never went on an official tour. For future readers, I think this school tends to award when individuals apply since I know of others who have had an award in hand for some time. Also, it was nice that they offered an additional $2K scholarship to offset educational expenses. This school really focuses on affordability.

Did anyone else’s child apply as a transfer student? My daughter graduated early and has been attending community college and was able to complete two years of course work in one year, so she applied as a transfer student. We have yet to hear back on any of the TE schools out of the 15 she applied for. She has been accepted to Santa Clara and Pace University so far. Has anyone heard from either of those schools? Her top choices are Syracuse and Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles but no word on admission or TE exchange yet.

Anyone heard from Syracuse yet? I was wondering how it’s going to play out with the 40 awards they stated they’ll give out this year. I feel like I’m playing the lottery.

Not yet. We haven’t even been admitted yet. 40 isn’t really a whole lot with how popular Syracuse is.

@jmw4sunshine My D24 heard from RMU in late December (awarded). He still doesn’t know where he’s going to school though. Maybe someday he will make a decision
 :joy:

@rochachaa Syracuse apparently tells reg decision admission in March and often on Fridays. Most people are expecting 3/15 or 3/22. I guess we will see! I am not sure if they give the TE awards at the time of admission or not.

@thegrubbfamily When did they apply? If there is an acceptance, you can always email the TE coordinator to find out more information, such as when to expect to hear about TE awards.

I have 2 kids applying for TE - neither is a transfer, but one is well into her program at her school. I just became eligible for TE. TE awards for some schools are late this year along with the FAFSA delays

My notes on Syracuse says they send TE notification within 2 weeks of admission.

My student was awarded TE at Tulane!

ETA: Btw, the amount of TE awarded is 48k and they said it would increase yearly if tuition increases.
