Did anyone here get a waitlist letter from Pitt?
Twin A just received an update to his portal telling him he has been waitlisted for TE at Marquette.

D applied in October as soon as they opened the portal. She has an active account, but the accounts all say Import Decision Pending. We will hold out to the April 15th date and see what happens.
We are waitlisted for admission. My understanding is there is no waitlist for TE.

Does anyone have experience with TE at Boston University?
Just for a little context, we are waiting on TE at several schools for my youngest daughter. We were told that she did not get it at Clark U, but this is not in the portal yet. Some others have commented that they may not have many slots.
We also got an email yesterday (which was recalled) saying she was awarded TE at Suffolk, and then another message saying they actually have not started the reviews and she didnât get an offer. That was a huge disappointment. Has anyone else had that experience?
Two years ago, my other daughter had several TE offers and they came much earlier. In case anyone is still hoping to get Mt. Holyoke, in that case, she was on a waitlist but they told her not to have much hope because the waitlist never moves. And in the very last week of April when she was just about to commit to another school, the TE offer came from Mt. Holyoke! So try to hold out until the last minute, even though it is very hard!

The Suffolk thing is really a bummer. I would be upset.

Suffolk better give you TE after that! I would assume they were inputting it and accidentally sent it to you but would hate to bank on it. My co-worker applied for TE at Boston University and Clark, her son did not get either and if I recall she said Boston Universityâs TE was extremely competitive but I know nothing outside of that.

So Americanâs decisions came out. Nothing about tuition exchange. I read on reddit that people who applied ED and received TE got it in their letter. Did anyone hear today one way or the other (and how did you hear)?
Mine is in at American with merit but no mention of TE, either. But no update to the TE portal soâŠI donât know what to think.
Hmm. I guess itâs better to hear nothing than to hear something negative. My son didnât get merit- did get offered the ability to borrow $5500 (just kidding, well he was offered it but kidding that it was an actual offer). I am so afraid to follow up with TE people, I feel like if I rub them the wrong way the application will just go into the no pile, but I am also TERRIBLE at just letting things play out. I guess I am going to get more practice at it. Let me know if you do get any indication if you donât mind!
Of course! I think if they sent TE notification with the acceptance letter to ED applicants, then they would probably do the same with RD, but until I hear otherwise I will keep hoping.
Waiting for TE would test anyoneâs nervesâI 'll bet even those who are good at rolling with it (I, for one, am not) are having a hard time with the wait!

Ugh. Found out we didnât get TE at Depaul but are on the waitlist. We already made plans to go visit on spring break so I donât know if we should pivot and go somewhere else. Darn!

If itâs in serious contention do you think visiting might help move the waitlist? (I am playing out the same thing in my head about American- if we should visit to see if it moves the needle or wait until we hear)

It is hard to know. My daughter is to email them back if she wants on the list and asked her to inquire where she is on the waitlist. If we are way in the back then it probably wouldnât move the needle.
I have heard American is really big on showing interest so in your case it might help.

Bummer! I wonder how long the waitlist is?
I do, too, but I donât think either of mine will choose to stay on itâneither demonstrated much interest beyond taking a tour. Hopefully that frees up some space!
