Tuition Exchange for Fall 2024 (Class of 2028)

We are in the same boat–Twin A was waitlisted for admission at Skidmore as well and also has several more affordable options. Just a bit of a bummer because it was one of his top choices.

At least things are becoming more clear in terms of narrowing it down to a few finalists.

Weird thing this morning. I had emailed our TE to remove us from the waitlist at Temple. She came back with she would but that it said approved (not waitlist) on the TE website. I did have her remove anyway.

So if you are one that had waitlist at Temple you might check to make sure it doesn’t say approved.

@DeeCee36 Any word yet from RIT? My S24 received an early acceptance from RIT to an accelerated BS/MS in his degree program. Nothing yet about TE.

Nothing on TE. D24 got the same accelerated BS/MS offer.

Getting super impatient!

I wonder if certain schools offer them to kids they don’t think will accept?
My kid got offered TE at a few schools where she turned down the interview for the PA program and said she was no longer interested because she wanted to remain closer to home. They then emailed and said she was rejected from the PA program and accepted into the Bio track since she turned down the interview and offered her TE

We have considered going to University of Richmond admitted student event in the hopes of moving the needle on the TE waitlist but we have already done 2 official visits. I am just not up for making another 10 hour car ride only for a very long shot. TBH, my love for UR us fading but my D is still holding on to the dream of getting the TE bc UR is and always has been her top choice.

just my opinion, but I don’t think another visit is going to make a difference. I think the more potent strategy would be to contact TE and let them know that your D would 100% commit immediately if she were offered TE (maybe you’ve already done that :woman_shrugging: ). Good luck to your D!

My D actually emailed the UR admissions person and did just that. Told her admissions rep that she would 100% commit if she was offered TE. All she got was a generic non-answer answer that was something to the effect that TE was very competitive and that it was a wait and see type thing. I keep trying to get my D to let it go and move on. Good luck to your D with the TE at RIT. The waiting is a killer!!!

I think sending an email emphasising that this school is still the number 1 pick and that you have already visited twice would be probably be more effective than another trip.

I totally agree!

I’m sorry to ask a question that I could probably figure out the answer to by going back and reading through the last few weeks of postings, but…

Have most people received all TE decisions? Which schools are still outstanding?

We are still waiting to hear from one school (well have to be admitted first) and one TE waitlist. That is out of the 9 applied to. I guess 7 out of 9 TE decisions isn’t bad.

Are there certain schools you are waiting for that you haven’t heard from?

We have only heard from 1 of the 3. I was just curious if the majority of schools had notified, since it starting to feel really late in the game. Even though I know many of the schools say they notify by April 1, on our first go-around with D20, we had heard from all schools by late January/early Feb.

I wonder if they are using the FAFSA delay as an excuse this year. From our list we have really had an uptick in the last two weeks so hopefully you will get yours by the end of this month.

We only applied to three - Seton Hall (admitted and awarded TE), and Syracuse and George Washington - still waiting on an admission decision.

We’ve heard from 3 of 6.

We haven’t heard from a bunch. We are on the waitlist of 3, there are two that are just totally silent (well one of them said they were going to make the decisions at the end of March b/c of FAFSA), and then there is one we are waiting for admission and TE.

Twin A has heard from 4/6 schools (accepted at Delaware but awaiting TE notification; pending admission at USC)

Twin B has heard from ~2/7 on the TE portal (got merit equivalent at Sarah Lawrence- would love to note this somehow in the spreadsheet because from what I understand we won’t hear from them; accepted Delaware but awaiting TE notification, accepted for admission but waitlisted for TE at Clark (not shown in portal), accepted at DePaul but no TE notification, accepted at Temple but no TE notification (despite it being awarded to other twin!)

We are no longer waiting on acceptances for admission, but we are waiting to hear about TE from 4 schools. Between Twin A and B, we have received 6 TE offers: 1 for Twin B and 5 for Twin A (not all the schools are listed in the spreadsheet). We have been waitlisted for TE at 3 schools.

Does anyone know if American made TE offers when they sent out decisions last week? Still waiting to hear about that, too.

Waiting on 6 of 10 TE decisions
