Tuition Exchange for Fall 2025 (Class of 2029)

That’s what I was thinking…b/c they specify “TE-EZ application”

I believe DePaul comes out 4/1.

USC is my home school so my kids would attend free if they got in. But it is so hard to get in!! So congrats on getting in. Unfortunately I don’t know anything about the TE stats.

Thank you! April fools day, haha!

Congratulations! Look back at the “Tuition Exchange for Fall 2023” board and search ‘USC’ for Merimom23’s experience - it’s informative. It gave me the sense that so few are admitted to USC, the odds for TE may be fairly good if you get in.

Congrats! My daughter was just accepted too (but it’s my home school). Good luck with TE. It is wildly cost prohibitive.

DePaul comes out officially by 4/1. With a 3.65 child, I got an early unofficial no. Good merit though! He said they look at 4.0 (unweighted) and above, but usually 4.2 and above. With the large class, I imagine this will be pretty competitive. It’s all on goa at DePaul.

This is internal to employees approved exports. Of the employees’ dependents there were 24 applications but only 21 approved (each school does this differently with years of employment or percentages offered each year until being fully vested). 18 of those applications resulted in enrollment at other TE institutions. My D24 is on TE at University of Delaware. The letter clearly stated ‘over 300 applications and it was offered to only 20’.

Congrats. My son’s TE portal still says waiting for import decision on Syracuse. I wonder why they don’t release all at once?

The liaison for TE waitlist is not super helpful imo. Last year my daughter was waitlisted for TE at Syracuse. We plead our case, met with the liaison and emailed weekly. Crickets. I hope your luck is better than ours!

The letter my daughter received very much had a tone of “don’t call us, we’ll call you”. It didn’t leave me with a lot of hope that she would get off the waitlist.

Hi All,

My D23 went through TE two years ago - I’m the guy who created the spreadsheet that has been used since then to track TE acceptances and stats, so that parents have a better idea of what each school is looking for.

My D27 is coming up in two years, so I do periodically lurk here to see how things are going. I noticed the discussion of the new “data” on the TE pages for each school (where it says received/accepts/enrolls, etc). I reached out to TE to ask them about this. They responded, and said that the data is incorrect because it is incomplete. Their software people are already working on removing it, so it doesn’t confuse people. It won’t be up for long.

I did ask them if they planned to eventually replace it, but with fully accurate information. I noted how maddening it is not have good information on acceptance rates for each school, and noted how having such information would likely greatly help parents and students make good strategic decisions. I’m waiting back to hear from them on that.

In any case, good luck to all - I know you are all in the final leg of this year’s search. It’s stressful, I know! It does seem to be the case that almost everyone finds the right place, even if it’s not always the #1 place they were hoping to attend.

Wow, DePaul TE does seem highly competitive. My son falls slightly below those stats (3.9UW, unsure of weighted GPA but he has AP’s), but I am hopeful he has a shot! He has received other TE awards, so he has options, but DePaul is definitely on the top of the list along with St Joes.

DePaul is first on our list too, sniff! It was first on my other son’s list last year too. He got waitlisted and never made it off. Son #2 has slightly higher stats (although I know they consider GPA only) so I am hoping but who knows.

I think this is a good sign. Tuition exchange comes in Financial Aid portal

Hi All -

Update: I heard back from TE, they plan to repost the TE-EZ app date (received, approved, enrolled) in March 2026, reflecting the 2025-2026 year’s results. And then they will update that yearly. Unfortunately that will not help anyone in this year’s search, but it will for the Fall 2026 search.

This is a big deal, given how opaque these stats have been over the years. Searches for the right colleges will be so much easier with very accurate data on this (as opposed to the not so useful “11 - 40%” phrases they used in prior years).

That’s great news. Thanks so much for the info you shared. While I do believe that these numbers can/will change from year to year, knowing the previous year’s statistics will be super helpful.
