I believe so! A confirmation email is most likely on its way!!
I’d assume so. We’ve had experiences where we got the “import approved” and “denied-other” portal updates before receiving an email or any additional info. The confirmation was sent a few days later by email or was included in an updated financial package.
Yes, this happened to us recently. Portal changed before official notification. Congrats!!
Usually that’s a great sign!
Good luck!
Yay! Thanks for the answers!
After all the waiting, visits, applications, late nights… S25 is likely attending my POE. He got in everywhere including all four TE schools. Received TE at St. John’s in NYC, declined at UDelware (where my daughter attends and got TE) and we are still waiting on Bryant and Syracuse for TE decisions. Congrats to everyone who’s S or D was awarded TE. This process is not for the weary!
I was hoping we would hear from DePaul yesterday, but no word either way. Anyone else?
Sorry to hear that- no word from Temple yesterday either.
We should get lots of “demonstrated interest” credit for how much we stalk the TE portal, even though it is totally inaccurate!!!
We haven’t heard anything either
I know even for schools that we’ve gotten rejection letters from it’s not even updated in the portal.
Same. And one that we got an offer from is still listed as “under review”.
Final TE count:
Approved U of Indy, Mercyhurst, Elmhurst, Marquette, Wayne State, U of Scranton
Waitlisted Lindenwood, then approved.
3.3 TO. She is committed to a non TE school
Marquette!
She decided no urban campuses.
Any ideas on when USC TE comes out?
I am really hoping tomorrow. It looks like last year yes’s went out on Friday April 5th and no’s came out mid April. The waiting is killing me and I am trying so hard no to email the TELO- I don’t think she’d say anyway and ultimately I cannot control the results, so I just wait….
Popping in from the Fall 2023 TE thread to encourage everyone to think about your contingency plan if you don’t keep TE eligibility for all four years. I was recently laid off and my home institution will no longer sponsor my daughter’s award.
Fortunately her school (which we love even more now) was able to help us make up a big chunk of the scholarship. However I believe they are able to do that because she’s been on dean’s list every term and we have demonstrated need. If either of those weren’t true I’m not sure they could have helped us as much.
My senior was waitlisted for TE at Syracuse. I wonder how often that waitlist moves? He was also offered a 50% tuition scholarship from the school - so TE + the scholarship would make Syracuse doable - but I don’t think we can count on getting TE off the waitlist.
And also - as someone else mentioned - could be difficult if my spouse wanted to change jobs. Good luck to all those still waiting on TE decisions!
Thoughts on if you appeal an admissions decision and are granted, what are the chances that tuition exchange will still be available (school is <10% for TE)?
