Tuition Exchange for Fall 2025 (Class of 2029)

We are wondering the exact same thing!

I don’t know about ED, but I thought most TE had earlier dates for import students. I pushed my kids to get their apps done earlier because of this - I don’t know if it is only required to have the TE app done or the whole college app done, but we went with have everything done. My DS23 received TE from Pitt, which is very competitive. I just don’t know… but I wouldn’t let anyone apply ED anywhere either.

Anyone else randomly popping into TE website?

I did today and saw that D25 is under review at one school. Of course it’s not at the top of her list but it is close by in the event she changes her mind and wants to not venture too far.

Yes, 6 Import Decision Pending, 1 Under Review. Been under review almost since she submitted, though.

Also logging into the portals to see about admission. My kids are way more nonchalant about admissions. Of course, I sit in front of a computer most days so it’s a quick pop off to check a portal.

Does anyone know of any on that list that have great film programs and are within 2 hours of Philly?

Temple and Drexel in Philly…also for a smaller liberal college option, look into the Communication and Cinema major at McDaniel College… I think it’s just about 2 hours from Philly.

Pratt in NYC also has a great Film BFA from what I know.

Can anyone with computer skills add a tab for Fall 2025 applicants (Class of 2029)?
I keep hoping this will magically appear but so far no luck.
I’d try but the functionality of the drop downs has me nervous.
TE Results for Class of 2027
Thanks!

My daughter’s top pick is Duquesne, we applied a few weeks ago. She’s already been accepted into the nursing program, how long did it take your dependent to find out about the award for TE?

Can you explain this process? My husband is employed at a private institution, member school of the CIC, I only understood there to be tuition exchange available? What is the CIC benefit?

I duplicated the 2024 tab, renamed it 2025 and removed last years answers. I hope that’s what you were aiming for. It should be ready for anyone to enter their results.

Looking at last year’s Google sheet, someone was notified Mar 4th about Duquesne TE. It is a long wait.

Sorry for the intrusion, I just noticed that you responded to someone’s post.

CIC-TEP (Council of Independent Colleges Tuition Exchange Program) CIC-TEP and Tuition Exchange TE are two separate programs. Some employing colleges/universities offer both CIC-TEP and TE and some do not. You may want to check with your HR if you aren’t sure which programs are available to you.

Then there’s also FACHEX which is for Jesuit colleges.

Since you didn’t capitalize tuition exchange, this needs some disambiguation, because I am not sure if you mean that your CIC school has a benefit of tuition reciprocity with other CIC schools, which it does if it is part of the CIC-TEP network (some schools are in the CIC but not the TEP part). TEP there stands for tuition exchange program. This is separate from a totally different network called TE, which stands for tuition exchange, and has nothing to do with CIC.

Some universities (like mine) belong to both networks. Some belong only to CIC-TEP or only to TE. Some belong only to CIC without the TEP addendum and thus don’t have tuition reciprocity benefits through their CIC membership (though they may be members of other exchange networks like GLCA-TRE).

Got the “we will let you know early next year” email from University of Scranton.

Congrats! S25 just got his Duquesne conditional acceptance and academic merit today, but since he’s music will still go through an audition process. Are you willing to share merit received?

Has anyone’s kid been lucky to get a transfer tuition exchange before? My kid chose a cheaper state school last year even though they received tuition exchange, and regretted it and is now applying, but I’m so nervous they won’t get any since they’re transferring and not a freshman.

She has been offered $27K merit at Duquesne.

D25’s top choice right now is a non TE school. She knows finances are important so she is choosing to not get “attached” to a school that is too expensive. The non TE choice is affordable.
