<p>Michigan has oceanography as a specialization within the Earth & Environmental Sciences concentration, but there is no marine biology. I would sure hope you would check to see if a school offers a major before considering attending for that particular major.</p>
<p>Also, coquimom, that’s not being a smartass at all. That’s fairly sensible. The vast majority of top marine biology programs are in coastal areas. Field work is essential in the realm of university sciences, and if you need a plane in order to get there, it probably won’t work out. And Lake Michigan doesn’t count, haha.</p>
