Congratulations!! So semifinalist decisions came out already? That’s wonderful.

I don’t remember if OOS and in-state students find out on the same day about finalist status.

I remember the kids find out sometime in Jan about finalist status. If selected, there’s a multi-day virtual interview process and then final decisions are released via portal.

If yes, then students must attend the in-person long weekend (I think it’s called something like discovery weekend, but don’t quote me).

My son LOVED that weekend last year and has kept in touch with some he met that weekend.

My D hasn’t gotten an email about semi- finalist status yet - I think she said there was nothing on the portal when she checked last time.

I think only OOS students know right now and in-state find out shortly.

Congrats to your daughter! If you don’t mind answering - was she nominated by a participating OOS school or through an admissions referral?
