In addition to applying early, it is important to send transcripts for any courses, taken at outside sources (community college, private institutions or entities, etc.) that do not appear on your high school transcript. UMD will not notify you that it considers these things to be missing. You just will not get a decision. You may consider some of these things to simply be activities that enhance your application, but if there was some kind of grade given, UMD wants to see a transcript. Every year there are a few students who get tripped up by this.
