DS received a PITT t-shirt today. That was a nice surprise. He was accepted back in December. Still waiting on merit (assuming the package is ONLY the t-shirt and no other communications)

Daughter got her acceptance via the email video a few weeks ago & got the notebook and stickers today. No word on merit, if any yet.
Any idea When we hear back about the honors college admission and do we get any extra merit aid if we are admitted?

Honor college decision will come out on Feb 1. Not sure about additional merit aid.

Honors college selects no more than 50 of its admitted people to receive the chancellor’s scholarship interview. From there they select 15 people to receive the actual scholarship. I’m not sure if this comes out with the pitt honors decision or not however.
Does anyone know if pitt honors notifies you if you did not get in?
When you guys view the financial aid in Pitt PSMobile, does anyone have the Panther Pride Merit Award? Kinda confused if this is another merit scholarship or a need based grant (as it says on Google it is).
I only see “University Scholarship” (no Panther Pride).

I have nothing - no fin aid info or scholarship info whatsoever. Does that mean we’re done for? Does everyone now have fin aid and scholarships in plain sight on portal or PS Mobile? Just want to know where we stand! Thanks

I’m very confused as well. There aren’t any loans so I’m guessing my offer is still not final? I don’t know when they start releasing final financial aid offers.

I got my buttons on 12/15, email on 12/18. Nothing has shown in my portal for merit yet. Any guesses if I will get any? I also applied to honors. OOS (NC), 35 ACT, 4.0 uw / 4.45 w, 7 AP & 19 honors classes, ~8% rank, good ECs with leadership and pretty good essays.

I talked to a very nice admissions person several weeks back. I assumed since an acceptance came a few months back and there’s been no merit yet that it’s a lost cause. However, she said that’s not necessarily true. They continuously award merit through March. So I’m hopeful. We’ve yet to visit but I know my daughter will love it as the size is right, it’s urban, and has some other qualities she’d enjoy. So fingers are still crossed.
I applied as an OOS applicant in late October, then was accepted on November 20th. I received merit aid ($10k per year) just a few days ago, on January 20th. It may take some time, but the merit aid is still being sent out!

Thank you! I received an email letting me know that an update had been posted to my account. That email had a direct link that brought me to my “Pitt Doc Center” after logging into the Pitt Passport. Hope this helps.
Has anyone received merit yet that applied in late November? It seems like a lot of the people who have already received merit applied fairly early like in September or October.
