My S21 applied very end of October, received buttons and video by Dec 11, letter 3-4 weeks later, no merit or fin aid news at all so far.
Thanks for posting this. I just checked my daugher’s portal and she also now has received the Panther Pride Merit Award for $5k/yr. She had previously received $5k/yr University Scholarship. Since it says Merit Award and we don’t expect to receive any financial aid other than the unsecured loan offer, I think it is merit. My daughter had no test scores and 4.0 UW/4.5W, good ECs. She was accepted back in early Oct

I did a quick search and in the past, the PP award has been need-based. But if this is the same award, why does it say it is a PP Merit Award? And I really am not expecting much in need based aid. But I’m not complaining!

I also got a University scholarship and they matched it as well with the Panther Pride Merit Award. But I’m also expecting a little need based so that’s why I was wondering what specifically the award is.

Oops I accidentally deleted my reply sorry. OOS, mixed, female, sociology, upper class so no hardships really. I had a lot of leadership positions in social justice extracurriculars which I’m assuming made up for average stats.
If I see PP award in the portal, is it for sure going to be renewed every year?

We are oos and my daughter applied November 1st week and she got her $20,000 merit aid through snail mail in First week of Jan.
Did she submit test scores?

@ethan10, we got the email today with the financial aid award and, in the small print, it says the PP is need based so is not guaranteed for the 4 years if your income increases.
My OOS d applied the week before Halloween and got accepted the day before Halloween. She originally got a $5000/yr scholarship but she got an email today saying she got a $2500 Panther Pride award. We’re not a needs-based family. Will this stack?
Also, at the App Store, I see two Pitt apps—one blue, one white. Which app is the one that all of you are using?

Managed to get an on-campus tour in right before Covid shut everything down last March.
Haven’t heard anything about Honors or any other possible merit.
mine also says renewable up to 8 terms , based on need based so not sure what that means.
Son applied 12/14 and received buttons this morning. Woooo.

Daughter received email notification that she was accepted! A bit of a surprise. OOS 3.7 WGPA no SAT. No buttons in PSMobile, yet, though.
