Rumors that a 2nd wave of Honors decisions are starting to be released. Truth?
Accepted OOS! 4.1 GPA and test-optional
Does anyone know what time decisions have come out in the past? Thanks!
Our decision showed up in our portal about 20 minutes ago, 4:00 PM EST
They are out! Accepted OOS, 4.1 GPA test-optional. Marketing major.
Yup, my daughter was accepted OOS as pre-international business. A bit confused - does that mean she is will be accepted to the international business major as long as she completes the business core? Our son graduated from Darla in 2025 as a business economics major.

This form is for tracking decision results, so it’s all centralized for future students. If you could fill this out once you get your decision, that would be very appreciated!
You can see all other people’s individual responses in the links above, along with overall form statistics (such as what percent got accepted).
All business majors have to complete pre business their freshmen year and then after they will complete in whatever business they majoring in in your case your daughter will be doing pre business freshmen year then international business for her last three years
My twins were accepted from OOS … We kind of thought that ship had sailed though!
They have to apply to get into the internal business program after their freshman year and maintain at least a 3.65 gpa to be eligible to apply. It’s direct admit for honors kids.
Anyone else’s kid get deferred in EA, then rejected, then receive the Gamecock Verto Semester option today? Feels so random to receive the rejection and then receive an email about the program that offers a spring 2027 start after we were told no. After getting love-bombed with honors pamphlets in the mail and multiple emails stating that they believed she may have the credentials to be in their honors program, only to end up with a rejection after 2 months of waiting to hear after a deferral, my kid has mentally moved on. Don’t understand the marketing tactics of this school at all.
They wanted you to apply. That’s the marketing tactic. You did. It worked.
If they reject you, they’re not concerned with how the marketing impacted you. To them, you applied - it worked.
It could be you had the stats but the essay or something else held you back.
It’s odd they reject and then offer Verto vs simply offering it. But that might just be the process.
No doubt whatever your student decides, she’ll be successful.
Best of luck.
Okay daughter OOS applied late, yes I know UGH I believe she missed the deadline by a day. She is assuming an actual decision may be coming or maybe they won’t review but she wants to know either way, should she reach out?
Her stats
1370 SAT
AP scholar with honors
4.1 weighted GPA
Color guard captain, student govt rep, etc etc
She can if she wants clarity.
According to their website, RD is due Dec 1. Some will say any after are based on space availability but I don’t see where they say that. It seems Dec 1 or bust. Given the words, I’d think she won’t get consideration. But asking is the best way for clarity. Maybe they still do look or maybe they added some pad for those who came late.
Good luck.
