Do you recall what your son’s basic stats were to qualify for merit?
need lots and lots of luck. Thank you.
let them be generous this time also. :=)
I know he had a 3.7 unweighted and went test option, consistent work experience, 2 travel/study abroad experience (Japan & Italy/Switzerland) and Lacrosse. Not over the top ECs. I think his SC GPA came to like a 4.3 maybe (I’m having a hard time remembering). He ended up with 14 credits transferring to USC from Dual Enrollment mainly. Only 1 AP class total (he school only offered 3). We are from Vermont and 9 total kids applied. 4 ended up going. I think the month in Japan helped a ton since he was applying for International Business.
Wishing all the OOS students waiting to hear this afternoon good luck! My daughter is currently a 2nd year Gamecock and we’ve been very, very pleased with her overall education. She’s been happy with the classes and the social life!
Correction: 4.49 W and 3.78 UW
What time do we think the OOS decisions drop?
they said late afternoon. So I am think may be any time between 4:30 to 5:30 pm.
I honestly don’t know… 2 years ago, they took the top 3-4 students by GPA within EA… others via RD and waitlist. So in the end, they accepted a great range of students…it just might take longer for some to get an offer.
Does anyone know what time this came out last year?
a few days ago, someone said 4:30pm et last year on 12/17 for their child.
I just looked at last year’s thread, and it looks like closer to 4:00 EST. But who knows for this year.
Looks like not 4:00
all quiet on the southern front
Last year the first people started reporting on CC around 4:16 PM
still quiet here in the North.
also quiet here in south carolina
It should be quiet in SC. Their EA was weeks ago.
nope, no one except the top 10% got their decisions in EA.
