So how do you choose which value to assign to letter grades? There is such a range on that scale. Our high school grades on +\- system which makes it even more complicated to convert.
I just ballparked it. For an A-, I used the value for a 91, for an A, I used the value for a 96. B+ was the value for an 88. I figured what I came up with was probably close enough to what they will come up with.
What about just a letter grade, no + or - or numerical?
For an A, I’d use 95. B 85, etc. But I’m no expert. I think you’ll get close enough.
Thanks
I heard Clemson comes out Thursday, does USC usually come out soon there after?
Seems like if your school uses numerical values you can really get screwed - such a huge difference between a 93 and a 100 even though both are “A” grades.
Clemson is next Tuesday at 6pm
does anyone have a clue when South Carolina instate comes out?
Is USC usually same day?
Clemson is this Thursday at 6pm per email sent to applicants - tomorrow ![]()
ya i’m not sure how to do this accurately! Our MA high school uses +/- letter grades only.
Last year USC released on Tuesday, Dec 17, which is the Tuesday of the 3rd week of the month. If they follow that formula, that means a Dec 16 release day. And hopefully they will send emails on Monday with the heads up.
Clemson released on Thursday, Dec 12 last year and is releasing on Thursday, Dec 11 this year. So different release days for sure.
But also on a Thursday for Clemsux… I mean Clemson!
Yes, I stand corrected- and I even saw that email My brain is mush these days. Good luck everyone.
Anyone have any more predictions on changes in admissions? Or when it’ll come out. Does anyone know what stats get you in EA?
It’s very tough to get in EA. Also inform your self on what yield protection is. EA is gonna be your 4.2 range to get in. Most get deferred and you saw that with Clemson today.
4.2 Weighted GPA to get in?
In years past what time of day do they usually release admissions? We’re assuming deferral over here for OOS Public Health.
4pm ish I believe, I am also expecting deferral. We only have 4.35 WGPA.
