thinking this week or next. anyone have a sense?
Based on another thread, it looks like OOS decisions went out: Monday, 12/13/21; Wednesday, 12/14/22; Friday, 12/15/23; Tuesday 12/17/24. In all years an email went out the business day before release, and decisions were released at or around 4pm. Good luck to all!
So its just scattered all over? We wonāt know until they send out an email?
Iām betting this Friday or Monday our kids will get emails and come out either Monday or Friday. I looked at the data and it shows that the last 2 years it came out the day after finals ended, which would be next Tuesday the 16th.
Iām sorry - Iām not sure. I would think less competitive than Engineering or Global business
100%. Theres no way they compare kids applying to Engineering and Darla Moore, in terms of competing for spots.
Anyone know chances for OOS-TO- 3.72W from high academic high school applying Public Health? Loads of healthcare ECās, team captain for 2 sports and 2 school wide clubs, plus member of many healthcare advocacy clubs/groups in school and community.
I would expect deferred but not sure how they weigh ECs!
Thatās what I was thinking. Daughter got into Pitt and Penn State-UP already but waiting on USC before making a decision.
My son too! and Delaware. Did your daughter get into fall or summer at UP? What were her stats/major?
Fall, Rehabilitation Services, interested in PA School and work with individuals with disabilities after undergrad. 3/72W- AP Bio, AP Psych, Stat, 5 honors. ECās match program perfectly which I think helped with Fall admissions.
Exactly how my son was. All sports media related and grades were strong (4.3w) but not insane by any means. I know my family in PA appreciates how hard fall at UP is.
I would imagine if PSU paid that much attention to ECās USC must! I guess we are are both hoping they do. Did she submit scores? Good essay?
If I recall correctly, D24 got a deferral letter from USC that stated something like your full application will be considered in the future. My takeaway was that they did not consider ECās, essay, etc. yet at that point. Probably only GPA/SAT.
Ridiculous! No way they donāt even look at any of that for EA. Anyone else w/ the same experience? What were her grades/scores? Will my son be hurt because he didnāt submit scores?
D24 was OOS, 3.3 UW GPA, 3.9 W GPA and test optional. Her weighted GPA was using NC weighting method on transcript (SC is different and I donāt know what that was). Seemed like her GPA was not enough to get accepted in EA and therefore deferred and then denied in March. S26 has applied EA with 3.96 UW, 4.85 W GPA (SC method), we are hoping for better results.
What major did he apply for and how did you determine SC method?
Admissions counselor told my son if heās within the middle ~50% for GPA heās fine! He is, but not sure.
How much does it matter that students that have better applications at my sons school are applying, beās one of the only few boys but still. Like I said, he has 4.3w (unsure of what it is in SC) and more then qualified EC wise and essay is great, applying for something in line w/ ECās
I am applying for sports management early action!
4.18 GPA, 31 ACT, two internships for sports companies: one being a d1 athletic program.
-Started my own coaching buisiness
-400+ volunteer hours, all of which surrounding sports
-President of FBLA
-6 AP classes
-School ambassador 4 years
Will I get in early?
South Carolina Uniform Grading Scale This is what I use to manually calculate my kids SC GPA. Hope this helps
