I’m still waiting on the mail. I bet it will be this week as the mail will speed up again now that we are back to normal package volumes after the holidays.

Having trouble booking housing after waiting the 48-72 hours it say after putting enrollment deposit down. Anyone else having an issue?
We havent received anything in the mail at all… thats concerning! Even though my son was absolutely accepted for EA. What is it that people are receiving?
We had issues as well. I was able to login this morning to her self-service account. From there, under the admissions tab, there is a link to housing services that brings you back to another login screen. We had to re-login and finally accessed the housing application. It’s a bit confusing.
Did you just recieve today?

When it is posted online, that is official. That thing in the mail is just the printed version of the online letter.

Does anyone know when the invitations go out for the USC top scholars interview weekend? UGA just sent invitations for the foundation fellowship interview weekend yesterday.
In past years they seem to have gone out somewhere around the 20th of January.

Question re: Top Scholars. If the invitations are sent around Jan 20th, and the next round of HC acceptances doesn’t go out until mid-February, wouldn’t you think the first group that were released in Dec would be the likely TS candidates, at least a portion of them? No idea how many kids got accepted to HC during that first wave and guessing more than the 100 or so kids named Top Scholars, but seems there’s a good chance some of them will be invited. Fingers crossed for everyone.
It does appear that they are a good pool of the kids who are invited based on previous years. I have no idea how many kids that they admitted to the Honors College in December. They took two from my son’s small high school. Can’t see them both getting a TS invite, but that would be pretty awesome.

To that point, my daughter attends a small, highly rejective STEM magnet high school in NJ, and her friend in the same program was NOT invited to HC. A little surprising, but I would tend to agree that 2 kids from the same school won’t be asked to Top Scholars, but it’s all guessing until the information is released.

Does the top scholar offer anything besides additional merit maybe?
Additional merit and more community and support for future fellowships and the like. Very small group of dedicated students. Some planned events and a lecture series.

Hi - yes deferred to both. I hope your girl gets her first choice. Which one between the two does she really REALLY want - I can send some positive vibes her way - sure can’t hurt!
Thank you! Clemson is a huge reach for her but I think she’d be just as happy at UofSC…which has been where she thought she’d be going bf knowing how competitive it is
