Were you also originally a spring admit ?
Yes admitted spring with fall waitlist
I also contacted admissions asking about merit stating the online estimator showed X and not being awarded any was a huge disappointment, etc. Like someone else commented, their decision is final, no additional considerations.
My daughter was admitted for Spring and within 2 weeks got off the fall waitlist. What was odd was that both her spring and fall admission letters had the exact same date. We had made our deposit, but the housing for Spring hadnât opened up yet. We did the fall housing application as soon as she got her fall acceptance. She got zero merit even though according to their online calculator she qualified for a decent amount.
Hey parents does anyone know if Tampa has an upcoming Admitted Student Day?
March 28 and April 4th is what they told me this morning.
For those of you who have Fall admits, do they have access to Workday in MyUTampa? I am hearing some do. My daughter called IT and they told her she wonât get access until 40 days before the start of school. Just trying to figure out if itâs worth it for her to call again and see if someone else will tell her something else.
My son has been accepted for Spring but waitlisted for Fall. I was curious if anyone knows how the waitlist works. Do they have the kids ranked by GPA, do they go by the open spots within a major or certain concentration in that major? Or is it totally random? We are heading down for a visit in a couple of weeks but I was wondering if anyone had any insight.
My daughter was pulled off spring waitlist for fall admit. She isnât able to access workday yet either.
My son is thinking about going there from out of state and we know very little about it. We stopped by after visiting USF. Wondering if its more a commuter school, do students stay all 4 years or transfer out? Are there places/conveniences they can walk to from campus, such as grocery stores and restaurants?
Definitely not a commuter school. It is a gorgeous campus with tons of stores, restaurants, etc to walk to. My daughter also looked at USF, but we took it off the list because I didnât think it was as walkable or convenient to stores etc as Tampa was. They both just have very different feels.
