The self reported one IS the recalc; that is your student’s core GPA based on their STARS. It is posted based on UTK’s recalculation. Yours may have stayed the same; others go up and down depending on weighting of offerings. The spot that says UTK final core GPA will be published after acceptance and is the final GPA that they use for aid- read the descriptions below each GPA listing and it will say what each is used for.

In, OOS 1540 sat, UT Core 4.72, leadership, sports, etc. Civil Engineering. Chancellor’s Honors College. No mention of Grand Cook Honors, if anyone else heard on that, please let us know. Wondering if Grand Cook was released with acceptances. Congrats to all.

Congrats everyone! My daughter got in as well for Industrial Engineering (OOS / 4.0 / 1320 SAT). This was one of her top 2 choices - she found out her acceptance from Penn State last week (her 1st choice) but I love that she has 2 great options to choose between so far! D26 accepted OOS! 4.32 weighted gpa, 1300 sat, $3,000 merit aid, interior architecture major.
She retook the SAT earlier this month. Does anyone know if she will qualify for the larger OOS scholarship if her score improves?

Admitted to 2nd choice major (Public Health), Nursing application still pending, offered $9k/year scholarship. Stings to not get nursing direct admit, but she is happy it is still possible. 4.37 UTK GPA, 30 ACT.

Do you mind me asking any merit? My D26 was deferred w/ slightly lower stats but we will need merit to attend if she gets in. I know her chance is low!
They recently changed the cut for when you could submit a new score and still qualify. I don’t remember what it is, but it is on their website.
Utk merit is automatic. You can go on their website and look at the volunteer scholarship for out of state and tells you what SAT score you have to get for each amount.
