Especially if this is your first child trying! We have no idea what to expect!

(My son did not apply to 18 )

18 schools is very reasonable I think, especially now that it is so competitive. I will have just under 60 when done, which I know is very excessive, but I still think it is necessary to have many options.

You paid for 60 application fees?

No, I qualify for a few waiver and many of them would be free anyway since they have no application fee.

Right! My kid applied to 10 schools and I thought that was a lot, my CC said no more lol

Our school and independent counselor both suggested 11-16.

Hi - we received Volunteer Impact Academy and UT Success Academy Applications in the Just For You… DS applied to Haslam for Supply Chain Management. Go Vols!

I think those were always there…

Such a hard wait… received multiple responses but this one is the one we are waiting for! Which schools would you think admissions will be similar to? Auburn, Clemson, UGA, USC, Indiana etc

Why should affluent high schools get all the spots to a publicly funded state school?

Hard to tell…

It should be slightly easier than all of these schools, but probably closest to Auburn.

Hey Emma, don’t take all of that on your shoulders. My husband died when my kids were 12/9. I know where you and your mom are. What’s most important is that you graduate from a program, no matter which one. There are plenty of good options and people make their way through all sorts of circumstances. It’s all going to work out. Be proud of your mom, she’s a strong and amazing role model for you!

I’m shocked to hear how many schools your kids applied to! My son (only) applied to four!

My son’s portal now has the button for ā€œLog into my SRARā€ on the Next steps tab. Anyone else? I’m thinking this is not a good sign if they are allowing him to update his application at this point.

No, not seeing that there. Did he complete his SRAR? Under ā€œMaterials Received,ā€ we have ā€œSRAR Academic Recordā€ showing as received with the date.

Yes, it was complete. Then he updated his SRAR for his trimester 1 grades a couple of days ago so maybe that’s why. When he clicks the button it does say it’s linked and complete so perhaps it’s fine. This is so nervewracking!

my daughter’s SRAR thing (Log into my SRAR) never went away even though it says her app is complete and it has SRAR Academic Record under Materials Received. who knows…I can’t with this anymore!!

We saw the same, ā€œLog onto SRARā€ in the Next Steps Tab. We emailed our regional admissions counselor and she said that all was good. We also clicked on the Log onto SRAR button and it said that everything needed was submitted.
