Not the main UT-K page. Do the UT-K admissions page on faceook. I will post on here as soon as they post something official.

My daughter (OOS) was invited to apply to be a Haslam Leadership Scholar. Any idea if this is an indication that she should be admitted? And I talked to a regional admissions director this morning who said that they have not been given the final date for EA release yet.

Would love to know the same!

I was looking through some of our emails with the admissions rep from when we submitted my student’s application. They mentioned that they’ll be “reaching out to students in early January with regards to decisions.”

They have said mid-december, but maybe they changed it.

Were you early action?

Also received and it can’t be bad, but I think we’re all guessing as to who gets in this year, given how popular UTK has become. Also, being OOS, the odds of getting it are basically zero. I looked up last year’s Haslam scholars, and they were all from TN.

Is that for EA? I saw they said mid-December for EA and mid-January for RD.

Yes, we applied EA.

Isn’t the definition of Mid-December 12/10-12/19???

From their website, EA “Release Date” is mid-December. I’m sure they’re more swamped than they expected so hopefully it’ll be this week before they head out on winter break. I can’t even imagine the long days the folks reading all of the applications are going thru.

IMO the term “mid” is ambiguous and allows for some latitude. For example, I’d like to think I’m still in my mid-50’s but someone else might politely disagree!! lol  :grinning:

What is the Just for You?

It is a tab/page on the UTK portal with information targeted to you. Extra applications/scholarships you might be eligible for.

Verbatim from the counselor for my 2 daughters who applied early action. This was the response to my email to them earlier today
“ We are not currently sharing a specific date of release, but we are still committed to a December release. I would feel confident in sharing that an update should be coming this week.”

Thanks
