I am not sure about UTK yet but either deferred or denied. Deferred Uof SC, Clemson, Providence College and rejected from Auburn.

I originally did but I heard it made things much harder so I switched most to exploratory if offered or undecided. I am not 100% sure what I want to do - everything seems exciting and amazing right now…
I wish I could give you more about what they look for but I dont know if they just have a cut off with stats and thats how they do the first round. I kinda regret EA - I was hoping it would reduce stress but not so much…
I am sure some accepted folks here can give their stats which would be more helpful then what I am giving - I just wanted to give something.
Its hard not to feel let down at times, but lots of people have real problems, and I try to remember that. I am healthy. I have a home and love inside of that home. Things are good.
Thank you for the heads up MomInWisconsin. We have the UT NetID, Student ID and “Admitted Major” but I’m not telling my D or making any celebrations just yet. These portals can be wonky.

4 sport varsity athlete, team captain, president of club, 2x state champion, and some other EC’s. My D was asked to apply to Honors and Haslam Leaders. She applied to honors but did not complete Haslam because she didn’t think it was the right fit for her. Good luck to everyone!!

I appreciate that - but look at your D stats - she beat me fair and square - I have no issue with that at all. She has a beautiful profile! I heard it was getting real competitive down south, but its where I want to be - it will come…

It’s in her top 3. And I love your positive outlook. Very wise for a high school senior. We laugh all the time about TN orange. It’s something else. LOL. Things do happen for a reason. The Admissions team could still be working … which may explain why some don’t have the change in their portal screens. (At least that’s an explanation I hope is possible since my S24’s portal still says “Awaiting Decision”!)
I agree with this sentiment. These systems don’t seem to be overly advanced. Changes were happening to people(who got in) on the Clemson portal the whole day leading up to the official announcement. It is probably updated in batches. We have a last name toward the beginning of the alphabet so I have no idea if that makes a difference. I could be wrong but until it’s official, none of us can say for sure.
I am not a fan of the portal astrology. However, D24 now has an advisor, student ID, and admitted major. She is in-state. Further, she falls into the class of in-state students that UT-K is now required to accept. So, we have never been worried about this application. Not trying to upset anyone, just providing context if you think this information may or may not provide any insight on decisions.
Ours hasn’t changed , but your photo says admitted major and the graphics are bolder and say Tennessee etc. I think you guys who have this should be a bit excited . It wouldn’t say “admitted” if you weren’t . Best of luck !!
