had the 7th semester grade request today. He can’t seem to get into the schools he wants at all and is pretty upset

2 sport varsity athlete all 4 years

tons of volunteer hours
10 APs (including Calculus, Statistics, Physics 1, CS, Economics Micro and Macro next semester, etc)
Some schools are listed, and I think UofFL is one - if you want them to accept an update you have to reach out to them to accept it specifically. I dont know - I get the glitch but some of us asked it seems. i am wondering if this is legit to be honest - all these glitches? But when I called earlier - they could have said… your application isn’t completed by the deadline. Or when i asked before. why say yes your’re good! Or how about - if you make any updates, dont send it here or it will throw you out of EA…? Like the FL ones - you have to ask them to open you back up to submit it - Penn same way I believe
Yes us! My son just texted me and it says the SRAR was not submitted in time. The only thing that could have caused this was when he logged in to update his first quarter grades. I am so bummed- I feel like it is my faulty because I made him update it . This is the only school that required the SRAR so no issues with submitting to another school
I was never told, my daughters college admissions counselor said she could submit if she wanted to but it was optional and she would still be reviewed for EA.
I did this - more than once. It said completed but I confirmed with each school that everything was in and received well before the date.
My daughter’s SRAR update date at UT is the date she submitted to V Tech also. She had UT submitted long before.
What does this mean? 8k and 13k?
Oh I didn’t read through yet. I am sorry, I wasn’t trying to be rude or anything. It just seems odd many of us did confirm.

If this will bounce you out of EA there should be communication on that. I think the portal saying “Next Step update your SRAR” is misleading if this tosses you out. And again, many of us asked. I wonder… for those who got moved from this SRAR - did the update impact your GPA higher or was it just the same submission but to another university?
When does your UTK portal say your last SSAR send was?
It clearly has to be some sort of UTK glitch where if you log into your SRAR and update it the date resets. Mine had all his stuff in by 9/23 and then updated it on 11/23 with his first quarter grades. It even showed his “new” updated SRAR GPA. But portal is showing SRAR not sent on time so being reviewed for regular decision
My portal also says this but I was deferred, so it sounds like there was no way to tell prior to decisions coming out of the SRAR wasn’t in on time.
I think so - I got one like that from another school and they broke it down into two scholarships just like that. That must be so hard for your girls… and you!! So hard… sending you all hugs
This is exactly us. I’m sorry, but this SRAR duplication is not the applicant’s mess up. We submitted the application on time with all the supporting documents on time. Official school transcripts were sent on time, and Q1 official transcripts sent in early December. To blame the applicant for checking on the SRAR – like the portal requested – is a really crappy way of communicating. Just say the student got deferred, don’t blame the student for being dilligent.

Twice… 11/2 and 11/25… But there were ZERO logins to the utk portal on 11/20-11/30 so I know for a fact it wasn’t an error on our part.
It will be interesting to see what they have to say. But worst case scenario is a wait till Feb.
