University of Tennessee Early Action for Fall 2024 Admission

This is shocking to me… Those are great stats -be proud

Seriously. I am so mad and upset for my kid. He busted his ass to get everything done early and was trying o stay on top of things by updating the grades to hopefully boost his chances since he did well first semester.

OOS deferred. 1560 SAT. Weighted GPA 4.3. Great grandfather c/o 1929, grandfather c/o 1954, uncle c/o 1984, sister class of 2012. Was looking forward to continuing the legacy but will now be considering my Vanderbilt and UGA acceptances.

If you got into Vanderbilt, you have to go. Only Ed is out

Both mine deferred. #1 and #3 in their class. GPA 4.25w. One says her SSAR was not in on time. Absolutely was. If they are deferred does that mean they lose scholarship opportunities?

My son has the glitch and it is not related to VT. He did not apply there.

We didn’t actually even make a change! So the GPA didn’t move at all. The SRAR just got resubmitted b/c you can’t “Cancel” when it’s in edit mode. A real piece of crap system. And I’m in IT.

OOS Accepted (Business). 4.31 core GPA, 1480 SAT, strong ECs. $13k scholarship. No mention of Honors application so I assume that means denied.

Same submission to a different college.

Regarding the SRAR… It happened to my daughter she made a minor correction and it sent to all the schools, making her miss the deadline pushing her to regular decision including UTK. Now she needs to call the schools to fix this. Has anyone else have this happen?

My D24 was accepted to Nursing OOS and $13k in merit scholarship.

My daughter made a correction to her SRAR and was admitted. Shows the two dates it was received by UT. One in September and one in November.

Yes, but if you got in Vanderbilt already, you are bound with the Early decision commitment.

My son was ACCEPTED and received $18,000/year VOLUNTEER SCHOLARSHIP.

Stats:
OOS
Tickle College of Engineering (Nuclear Engineering major)
ACT 35
GPA 4.33 weighted, 3.87 unweighted
8 AP courses, strong rigor with focus on STEM
NHS, part time job, club and high school volleyball player, was a TA for an AP Chem class at his high school, super nerdy essay about how he wants to find a way to use nuclear power to combat climate change.

Congrats to everyone on their journey!
