Hi - I just checked and noticed my son’s EA Haslam Supply Chain Mgt application (awaiting decision) also has the opportunity to apply for the Volunteer Impact Academy cohort and scholarship in the “Just For You” tab…along with the UT Success Academy Application…
Is anyone else showing this ?.. good sign for this week/ next week’s announcement?
Thank you for your comments or opinion…
It would be nice if UTK would announce this FRI along with UGA… probably a lot of crossover OOS students who are waiting on both…anyone have more clarity on the date other than “mid Dec”?
I have been looking and I haven’t seen anything official. There were some rumors that it will be the 15th, but they released on the 20th last year. I expect even more applications this time around. My D24’s school in Illinois had almost 100 students apply. It has become the “it” school somehow- at least around here. With the Volunteer Scholarship, it actually costs slightly less than UIUC for a lot of students, including mine. I wouldn’t be surprised if acceptance rate drops down into the 30s this year.
If you search this topic from last year, there was something that changed on the UTK portal right before decisions were released and we were able to tell if it was an accept or waitlist. I’m so sorry I can’t remember the details! I’ve clearly blocked it out.
According to last year’s thread, a “decline admission” button apparently appears in the Resources tab for admitted students, right before decisions are posted.
received today when I reached out to the SoCAL Admission Rep:
“This year, our decisions will be Admit, Defer to Regular Decision, and Deny. Student’s major choices are taken into consideration and if they are admitted, their admit letter will have their admitted major on it.” Destiny Martinez, MS

Any military affiliated OOS students planning to use Post 9/11 GI Bill @ UTK or other schools?
Informed that once benefit months expire (max 36 months, many split it between kiddos) you will get to keep your in state waiver for tuition purposes. PLS get your COE (cert of eligibility) now …took a few weeks to get it processed via MILCONNECT.
Slate is a client management system that many institutions use for their application portal (my institution uses it as well). UTK assigns students an identifier called a NetID upon admission.
