I was told that my child had to wait until after she gets accepted then she can apply for COE. So she can apply now before admittance?
Thatās true about being able to keep in state tuition at UTK. We are OOS too so that was an important to us.

No, it is just an ID number. No significance. It is assigned randomly by a computer.
Your COE isnāt school specificā¦ it just spell out your number of months of entitlements ā¦maybe you are referring to submitting the COE to the schoolā¦that makes sense, yes, after acceptance.
She has that letter. I guess Iām talking about the 22-1990E form to use the transferred benefits.
Her dad is in TX and we are in SC. So itās nice that she can have in state benefits at any school.

The Penn State threads were wild with easter egg suggestions this year. We tried literally all of them to get an early update for my son, but none of them worked. I was shocked when he logged into the portal randomly one night and saw an acceptance, but no emails from the college, etc.
SAME!! Random login and then portal said it was down but all of the info that was previously there was gone and there were resources for admitted students. Logged into Lionpath and there was his acceptance letter!
South Carolina just sent out emails that they are sending decisions tomorrow ālate afternoonā. Does Tennessee send an email ahead of time does anyone know?
Yeah applicants and parents crashed Lionpath and actual PSU students couldnāt log in to see their grades
I donāt know if they email, but they did give warning last year in social media/website.

sounds like the PSU CS dept has some work to do to mitigate this āknownā issueā¦ there must be some electronic way to determine enrolled students from pre-students/those of us with a known log inā¦vs those log ins that ARE actual studnetsā¦(2) different arrays and logic for access Y/Nā¦ doesnāt inspire confidence in their IT system is this simple āintrusionā will limit accessā¦ just a non STEM guy ramblingā¦

It looks like we are not going to be hearing anything tomorrow. They said to check their social media for the exact date. They would have posted something already today.

Just to play devilās advocateā¦I realize they said they would post something in advance, but it probably doesnāt help them too much. Kids and parents frenetically refreshing and taxing the infrastructure doesnāt make their life easier. And while they said they would post to social media, they didnāt really say that theyād do it in advance, right? They could eventually post ādecisions are now posted in your portal.ā

Still hope! 
Last year they posted a few days in advance on social media the date and time decisions would be available. The waiting is definitely hard! Hopefully, they will provide their anticipated decision date and time soon.

I called today and I was told it will be sometime next week before they leave for the holiday.

I called today and was told by my daughterās admission counsellor that it will be āthe first half of next weekā (the second time Iāve heard that exact phrase from them) so Iām thinking Tuesday the 19thā¦

Does anyone know if UTK gives scholarship offer amounts with acceptances for oos students or if this is something they wait to hand down?
Last year the acceptance came with your merit scholarship award.
