So… this is the email we got. It’s a bit more ambiguous than I thought when I first checked. In any case, I would do it because it’s not a binding thing. The only way you can accept enrollment is by officially accepting enrollment through the portal.

Where did you find a way to decline admission? My son tried to find it and I couldn’t find it either!
Are you declining because your son choose another school? If I recall, he was also considering Clemson. Did you actually find out about scholarships at Clemson? My D is waiting to decide, but doesn’t yet know her scholarship amount at Clemson.
On the portal, it is the very last tab at the bottom of that page.
Just email your student’s admission counselor
Well I can speak from experience that doing this will get a reply from the counselor telling you to go to the portal to do it.

Of the people I know that aren’t necessarily going but got in(most people at my school), yes.
like your screen name, LOL! I think you are right. They probably use the stats to help engage real interest. I am sure they have a view of how many create the email to enroll, YOY.

Does anyone know when admitted student days/events are in the Spring? I checked the general webpage, son checked in his portal, and neither of us saw anything. I’m trying to load up different possibilities for the spring - until he sees when his track meets are scheduled we won’t commit to anything, but it helps to know what the options are!
Do you mean college-wise? or just registering email?
College-wise, most people just go to UTK. Obviously big state schools like UA, Auburn, etc. The most competitive go to vanderbilt and other top 20s.

How is you S24 liking the Sports Management major there? My S25 was accepted as an SM major and Tennesee is a top choice.
What were his stats? And is he entering Fall 2025? My daughter was accepted at UTK but not for architecture. At the time of acceptance 1240/4.01 and retook SAT in December and now 1280. She was put in the Discovery program but won’t go to UTK unless accepted into the actual Architecture program. Bummer as this was one of her top choice schools.
We won’t know about Clemson scholarship money until late March. He’s going to tour UTK in mid-Jan (has been on campus many times for games, track/swim meets), but he has never toured officially!
Has there been any information on admitted student days released?
Not that we’ve seen.
Do we need to worry about timing of enrollment in terms of quality of housing at UTK?
No. It’s completely random.
