9% acceptance rate for OOS!!:flushed_face::flushed_face:

Did anyone report (I feel like I saw it somewhere) the deferral count for ED? It’s reported in the EA post but not in the ED.

Quick math exercise:

Roughly 63K EA + ED applicants.

Roughly 20K RD applicants.

Roughly 8,300 offers already extended

Roughly 10,000 total offers to be extended

That leaves 1500-2000 offers to be extended to the 20K RD applicants + 10K deferrals (I think it was around a 25% deferral rate from ED).

I “third” this! We appreciate the clarity and transparency. The whole process makes applicants feel respected. A breath of fresh air.

They eliminated the supplemental essays (except nursing) though… Wonder if the stats of admitted student remain similar to previous years.

My checklist, test score, and application withdraw button is gone…

Same, I do believe Dean J said that changes would be happening throughout the day and none of it indicates a decision one way or the other - they are just readying the portal for announcements. Good luck!!

Are there any signs on the portal that you’ll get in? For ex like UT Austin, UMich and Purdue

Yes, a sign will be displayed on the portal after the decisions are released.

Just try to be patient at this point. Dean J posted the following on the official UVA admissions blog.

Why is the portal changing? Is it a sign of my decision?

The portal will look a little different as the technical team prepares for the release. The changes are not tied to your decision.

there are no list of items submitted any more. Not sure what to make of this.

It just means they are about to release

im so nervous yo
