The thing is, we don’t own the codebase.The “no-doubt highly compensated developers at Hobsons” are about the hardest working individuals I’ve ever known, but we have a large array of products and CC in its old state was becoming cumbersome. We had to move the dev work off of them and on to a vendor-hosted option that also offered improved security (which became a huge priority a few years when someone gained access to CC files and took the site off-line).
Anyway, the sub-forum notification feature was submitted earlier this year as a high priority. That’s all I know at this point. It’s in the queue and I know we’ve been pushing the vendor to get it on their roadmap.
