Well, we were advised a few days ago that the “Official Thread to Report Problems…” is no longer the appropriate place to report problems with the new site. And now it’s been closed, so that’s the end of that.
But I miss the camaraderie. the security of knowing that I shouldn’t take it personally when the system logs me out unexpectedly, the reassurance of others that, yes, indeed, it’s not my imagination that posts are more difficult to read against a glaring white background . . and, of course, the ongoing saga of @romanigypsyeyes and her “magical” mod powers!
So, with the understanding that this thread is not an appropriate forum for reporting new issues, does anyone want to join me in offering each other moral support while we watch the “new and improved” CC gradually take shape?
This will be a handy new thread to bookmark–not only for the camaraderie but also as a roundabout way of navigating to the forum it’s in. Since, of course, we can’t bookmark the forum itself. ;
Well, yes, @dodgersmom, I could see that. However, when I click on a letter, say, “A,” it says “no discussions found.” I don’t even get a list of colleges when I click on the link for Alphabetical List of Colleges.
OK, I figured this out. I went back through all the various links, including dodgersmom, and got nothing. But then I noticed there is a “Subtopics” link with a carat after it. When I clicked on that, all the colleges showed up. Evidently you can hide or reveal the list by clicking on that subtopics link, and I must have done that somehow (although I don’t know how/why I would have done that)?? I don’t know why there is this option since why would you want to hide the whole list? Then there is just a blank page. If you were going to the Alphabetical List of colleges, presumably you would want to see the list. Oh well, ours is not to wonder why . . .
I wish posts were numbered, like they used to be. It was an easy way to reference something someone had said in a particular thread, esp if the thread is several pages long, etc.
