Give it up about post numbers. We’ve been asking since day 1 of the downgrade.
Maybe the thread was closed because none of our concerns have been addressed or have any chance of ever being addressed? That’s my guess.
I am not an official CC administrator, but I think I can jump in and answer the post numbers and bookmarking forums questions:
“Hi there-thanks for your post. We are currently working hard to address your concerns. We will update as soon as we have more information for you!”
I think that alwaysamom and bjdkin just posted the truth. bjdkin, you are now an official administrator. Let’s hope you are given magical admin powers like romani got magical mod powers!
Anyone else getting tired of all the “unhandled exceptions” being thrown at them?
I know a horse can throw a shoe, but how does a community forum “throw" an unhandled exception? And what is an unhandled exception, anyway? And, yes, I understand the meaning of the phrase, but where, or where, did they come up with that bizarre wording?
Why not just say, “Oops, please try again!” like everyone else does?
I don’t know where to post this- and I can’t see the threads due to this problem, so I’m taking a stab at it here. On my work computer I’m running IE 10 and suddenly I can not see the post titles but only the poster and date off to the right. Any thoughts?
I got the “unhandled exceptions” screen a few weeks ago, and reported it here. I asked how I got it, and was told the tech team could not duplicate it. I haven’t gotten it since…and really, I have no idea what I did to get it.
Oh, the system throws an “unhandled exception” at me whenever I’m so foolish as to hit the “back” button to return to the previous page I was on. For example, I log onto Forum X, see there’s a private message for me, go to read the message, and then hit “back” to get back to Forum X . . . and immediately have to duck as the “unhandled exception” comes flying my way! Happens every friggin’ time.
When I hit the back arrow. I get logged off…sometimes
Anyone else getting the whole list of “New Discussions” blanked out using IE 10? I don’t have a problem at home with Firefox.
I just want to know how I can view post that I have liked or marked as helpful? Right now I’ve only figured out how to view threads that I’ve bookmarked.
^ I don’t know if that’s possible, letmeseetheworld. I can’t really see every “like” I’ve gotten for my own posts - I can go to my profile, click on “likes” under “reactions to my posts” and see some of them, but it doesn’t go all the way back to whenever. I would also like to be able to see which posts I’ve liked/found helpful but I’ll be surprised if that’s a thing at this point.
@LasMa: “the downgrade” - I love it!
@letmeseetheworld The reactions are not currently used as a bookmarking method for comments.
If you navigate to your profile page: <a href=“http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/profile/680074/letmeseetheworld”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/profile/680074/letmeseetheworld</a> , You can click the Like or Helpful link and see what content you have posted that people reacted too.
If you would like to keep track of a thread, click the star to bookmark it for later reference. Then you can click the My Bookmarks link in the left navigation to find the threads which you have stared.
Thank you for the post numbers!!! What a nice surprise to see them today.
Woohoo! POST numbers!! Woohoo!!!
I also see a green check and a new column for ME. Assuming that means threads I have posted on!
Thank you!
Yay for post numbers, but whats up with the time clock? 0:14 am??
It probably took longer that we all expected, but we finally have some BIG NEWS to share. Please see the official announcement here:

So happy to see time / dare stamps without hovering and post numbers. Thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks for the post numbers!
I noticed a big green check mark next to a thread I didn’t recall reading and couldn’t find any comments I had added to it or even any ‘likes.’ What is your algorithm for adding the checkmark?
Here is the thread <a href=“Why are international college rankings drastically different from the Usnews rankings? - College Search & Selection - College Confidential Forums”>http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-search-selection/1658770-why-are-international-college-rankings-drastically-different-from-the-usnews-rankings-p1.html</a>
