Hi guys! I have applied after the priority deadline. I applied to the school of engineering. Can anyone give me an idea of approximately when do the decisions come out? International Applicant from india
I heard international students hear about their decisions at the end of February.
Would you know of there are indicators like 6 tabs for TAMU.
No. There is a status update on your portal.
ik someone who got an interview on february 1st itself
So it looks like they extended the deadline to accept CAP until the 19th. My D was offered CAP, but we assumed it would not work for her bc she will have 54 dual credit hours which would account for most of the 30 hours they require you to take your first year in CAP from what I can tell. Is there a way CAP would work if you already have a lot of the hours required? Would they let you take things off list in that case? I don’t understand why they would offer it if it wasn’t feasible for her. Am I missing something here?
Our son has 43 dual credits; we were worrying bout too much math classes; we got lucky and he can do one; (can’t double tab classes) we spoke to Lisa Rose from. UTA. Great contact. Our wants to go to UT (Poly Sci Major) so we support his decision after several admissions to SMU, LSU, TTU, UTD, etc. (Waiting on USC/Princeton) I say, go to where you want… and support what they want. We did the degree plan hours… with 43 hours, then the 30 at CAP… it will abs works out. I think you’ll be good. Talk to Lisa Rose. Good luck
Has any international student received their decision? I still haven’t got mine which means its probably a rejection right
I haven’t, they said it’s before March 1 so hopefully it isn’t a rejection, there’s still hope.
Did you guys separately apply for the turing scholars program?
Or are everyCS applicants considered for the Turing Scholars Program?
No, you have to apply for it.
For those of you from out of state or out of the country, the ENTIRE state of TEXAS is closed. We are experiencing unprecedented power outages and bitter cold. Nothing, including universities, are operating. We are conserving what energy we can. So please, it doesn’t help to wondering why you haven’t heard anything. I’m telling you why. Things are going to be delayed again thanks to Mother Nature.
But as far as dual credit hours being wasted, won’t you basically lose any benefit from taking those dual credit classes if you end up basically having to repeat them?
OOS from NC.
Daughter was accepted into Kinesiology major in the college of education.
No scholarship, no ACT/SAT, no community service. No other extracurriculars.
She is a survivor of stage 4 and a fighter.
Regarding the program - provides multiple paths to a fulfilling career, potentially Grad/Post-grad, trojan horse into a DPT, or nursing, medicine etc with some planning.
Good luck to everyone.
We are thankful to UTA for this opportunity, humbled!
UTA means UT Arlington, FYI
Oh, Thanks for correcting. I meant and will remember to say ‘UT Austin’.
It’s not UT Austin. It’s just UT. UTA is UT Arlington. You can always tell the nonTexans by how they refer to UT.
I stand corrected. ‘UT’ it is. Thanks for attempting to orient me. It has been 25 years that I moved out of Texas (Texoma!) and need a crash course before we potentially move into the Austin area. Can use all the help so am appreciative of the suggestions.
I have two degrees from UT but I live in Virginia now, and ‘UT’ doesn’t suffice around here There are more Vols than Horns! So yeah, UT Austin works, but I usually just say Texas
