UT Austin Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

@SpaceJam1154 you got accepted today? Also congrats!! happy for you

Also, I think it’s pretty clear that this wave was for very competitive applicants, across all categories. Like mostly 90% of the people that got accepted last week had very good scores and PI’s, so I don’t think we should stress as much about results since there’s still a lot of seats left to be offered. Let’s just wait it out and enjoy the upcoming break before we get back in into the January waiting stress :innocent:

and the school knows that those kids won’t be attending anyway :grinning:

Does anyone know when the large wave of admissions occurs in January (based on prior years)?

Based on past years, the largest wave should be 1/22. That said, there is nothing about this year that has been normal.

Anyone hear yet from Moody?

My daughter was accepted to Moody last week. Non-auto admit. She intends to major in Journalism.

Has UT Austin already released decisions? I know some majors come out before others-- I applied as a government major and submitted my application mid november. I am out of state

@wizardsfan2 My OOS daughter was accepted for Biology. (on Thursday night)

Today?

has anyone received an acceptance to the business honors program?

Curious to learn more about the Nursing Guarantee program (thank you for sharing!). Was your daughter offered the program with her admission to CNS? Or is that something she worked with her advisor on after she’d been admitted? Do you remember what she applied for in CNS as her major? Just trying to figure out which major is in alignment with the requirements for the Nursing program. May be too late to change her 2nd major at this point as her application is in review. Thank you!

Congrats to both of you! Care to share stats? Auto admit etc?

Hi, I applied to UT Austin before the priority deadline as an OOS biochem first-choice major and still haven’t received my decision. On the website, it says Feb 1 is the priority decisions date so how are people receiving their decisions so early?

The UT website suggests Nursing must be selected as an applicant’s first choice major:
Length of Program: 4 years
Degree Awarded: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
Freshmen Admission: Prospective UT-Austin freshmen students should visit the Office of Admissions for information on procedures and requirements. Select Nursing as your first choice major and submit responses to the following short answer prompts:

  • Discuss the factors that have influenced your desire to pursue a career in Nursing; and
  • How have your academic and extracurricular activities prepared you to pursue a degree in Nursing?

https://nursing.utexas.edu/academics/undergraduate/bsn

they give a final date that you will hear by which is the Feb 1 and roll them out ahead of time in batches, I presume due to the sheer numbers. Earliest are usually in-staters. After that it can appear pretty random so don’t worry that you have not heard yet.
