UT Austin Class of 2025 — Regular Decision

I am an OOS applied by the priority deadline to McCombs, haven’t heard anything back… by when do you think we can expect the next wave?

Same here, I got into McCombs but nothing from BHP. How was the interview? Can anyone give insight?

What time are decisions usually released?

Have any Test Optional applicants been admitted so far? Reading some blogs that haven’t been too favorable about gaining admissions w/o scores submitted to UT specifically. Thx

Nothing from UT. Nothing. Really disappointing, UT Admissions.

I don’t see any changes

Wow, I’m pissed. Total lack of communication from them as well.

I agree. When it’s all said and done, I’d love to see stats on this. I think it’s going to be a problem. We’ve had two kids from our very large DFW high school accepted, both with high test scores.

@GigiMayf was that in state and what were they scores? Did they go for mccombs too?

Any chance there is a release at 6 CST?

I’m giving up til January. Honestly this is exhausting… Have a published date to announce decisions and stick to it. It seems very random who hears and who doesn’t. My son submitted 10/10 with a 1510 SAT and high GPA, got an interview for CBHP and still no decision. So I think we will stop checking until January.

@jmg11534 Can’t tell at this point. When test optional, it will take more work to evaluate transcripts.

About 10K admissions were sent out in January last year. An admission officer told me two months ago students who got admitted before Christmas are not “better”, just the decisions easier.

@Utmom2025 would mind listing her stats? If not, I respect that too. Thank you!

4.1 gpa
Private high school
very strong ecs with lots of leadership
great rec letters

I just read in a Reddit post that someone got notified of acceptance in Physics major today…

They applied for CNS and Engineering and had VERY high class ranks and SAT scores north of 1500. No one from our school has gotten into McCombs yet.

Hey at least he got an interview. I applied there with what I think is a strong application and haven’t heard anything :frowning: But yes I agree, super frustrating.
