Congratulations!!!
@KaYoung2025 Congrats! Where are you headed?
Thanks. Heading to Cornell.
Thanks
Wow! Congratulations!
Followed your advice on UTD, my DD also got accepted to UT BMEN two weeks ago. The COA from UT appeared to be cheaper than UTD even after the low AES offer so DD will very likely heading to UT.
Again congratulations!
Congratulations to your daughter! UT BMEN is very hard to get in.
As a matter of fact, I can introduce your DD my roommate I have for UT Austin, she is also going BMEN and she is from UK. She is top notch student with 4As in A level exam. I was told by my dad an “A” in UK A level is easily 18 credit hours in UT with grade “A” not treated as “pass/fail”. If you don’t mind I can send you her contact.
Does anyone one know when Dept of Art and & Art History majors usually get a decision? And how many freshman do they accept?
Congrats!
Congrats!!
Congratulations!
Congrats!!
Congratulations!
Congratulations to those who have been admitted in the last week! In case you didn’t know, there is another thread called “University of Texas at Austin Class of 2025 After you’ve been accepted…Q&A”. Come join us over there too to ask questions and get answers to all your burning questions about going to UT! (The idea of the other thread is to free up this page and alleviate some of the stress for those who haven’t heard back yet.)
Does anyone know how Engineering honors students are selected?
Does anyone have any idea about when we can expect to hear back about CNS honors (specifically polymathic is what I applied for)? My co 2024 friend got hers during mid february but she applied regular and I was wondering if we can expect to hear earlier if we applied priority. I don’t think anyone on this thread has said they’ve been accepted to a CNS honors yet.
^I was wondering the same thing…also, for anyone who applied to Forty Acres, it says on their timeline that semifinalists will be notified and interviewed in early January. Does that mean we should expect to hear back from them within the next week (from stalking previous threads it looks like most people heard from them around Jan. 16)?
We attended a Plan II info session when our S19 was in high school. The Advisors giving the session said to put Plan II second because some of the other majors (Eng, Bus, CS etc) are so competitive that no one gets them if they put them as a second choice. Plan II specifically said it would NOT adversely impact consideration for Plan II if the applicant listed it as second choice major. Our son applied first choice to ME and second choice to Plan II and it worked just as they said.
I don’t think so. It’s just way too many families who would qualify for that status.
Hi ChillyCow,
I have not been reading this thread much. Can you let me know if any Review Admits have been accepted. My son has been accepted to TAMU (Whoop!) but also applied to UT. I just wanted to see how many admits have been sent out for UT.
@mbt2025 My daughter applied for that one too, and we’re wondering about timing as well. Do you know how big of a program it is? We are OOS and some of the honors programs seem primarily for in-state.
