Are you auto admit too?
No change for us.
Yes
does anyone know when plan ii decisions will come out (if theyre even accepting more people)
Congratulations to everybody who got accepted last night!! Hook 'em!! Come join us over on the “University of Texas @ Austin Class of 2025 After you’ve been accepted…Q&A” to ask all your questions and share answers. It will alleviate some of the stress for those who are waiting to get their admissions if they don’t have to endure admitted student questions! Best wishes for all those still waiting; hang in there; it won’t be long now!
In-State, Auto, Lot of ECs (Marching Band etc) and Lot of Volunteer Hours and Volunteering at Hospitals too.
And had Submitted all optional material also.
Best wishes to you.
I have 2 sons at UT and one is in journalism/Moody.
In-state, ~10% class rank, W 5.19, ACT 31 composite/35 English, took 10 AP classes 3/4/5. I think your record is excellent. But, there is luck involved and some emphasis on essays and diverse/well-rounded class so while I think you’re deserving (based on stats) other factors do seem to matter. You put in a great performance - be proud of that no matter.
yes, you’ll get your major & get in. Those are great stats
What do you guys mean by “bad data”? Sorry, I’m new to this sub.
In MyStatus, top left corner click on UT Direct or logo above, that leads you to Texas admission page, click “Current Students” on top left corner leads you to MyUT page. According to FriscoDad, all applicants have some defaults but those admitted have much more with info related to your college. I don’t know who started it saying clicking Academics->Registration Information Sheet (RIS). Showing your major there means you are/going to be admitted. Bad data simply means you are not “current” student. There may be some truth to it.
Some good CS students should get together help UT admission office to clear all this buggy situations, the database linking and data sharing is horrendous for a university with such high CS ranking. Non-admitted students should not even be given MyUT access. Add some AI in the decision process for high stats students, and accumulate decisions in a staging database and release all in two dates (such as Dec 31st for EA and Feb 28th for RD).
Bad data definitely means “not current student”. I don’t know why UT cannot add a small code in the login cookies to simply block non-current student. But if your RIS is showing your major that should mean you are admitted. I had my RIS in BME for a week (or longer?) before mystatus page updated last night. I mean why torture students like this?
Does it indicate that auto-admits who didn’t get an offer yesterday won’t be getting their first choice or maybe even second?
