AA applied and completed application before Nov 1st priority date will get offer yesterday or next week. The Friday at end of month (Jan 29th) is for CAP/PACE.
According to the consultant in Austin Carol M. (who somehow has insider info), non-AA and some small AA will be next Friday (Jan 22nd). If not UT will be offering CAP/PACE on Jan 29th.
Assuming you have AP Calculus BC and AP Stat with good grades, your chance is good, may be even better if you choose CNS undecided since your math is so good you shouldn’t have trouble keeping 4.0 in first year and get to your CNS choice. (M325, M408C/D will be candies to you) If UT is your goal taking CAP or PACE is also good option as your stat shows you have a high chance of keeping 4.0. UT is not looking at second choice for non-AA or OOS.
I meant admitted to Cockrell and into your major ME. I had same thing as you since last week. RIS showed BME like a current student but status still “in review”. I can tell these people are hard working every day to set up everything and the final piece is the status. UT’s financial (Bursar), college plan, UT Direct, MyUT are several cross linked messy platforms they still haven’t pulled together so things are here and there. MyStatus have indirect links to all these.
Are you seeing message “Your application is still being considered for admission to your requested major”? If Yes, then your application is still being considered for Engineering.
I was admitted last night some time after 6pm.
But I have been seeing my BME RIS as if I am a current student in MyUT portal since Jan 8th, that RIS could have been earlier if not someone in this CC forum pointed out. Many other people just see “bad data 1000”.
Not over, if the consultant in Austin holds true to the end, for all meeting priority deadline (Nov 1st) OOS and non-auto next week and some auto too. But next week won’t include Architecture/Fine Arts, I believe it has to do with a different software that manage admissions.
Jan 29th will be for CAP and PACE for in state. I haven’t heard of OOS get CAP or PACE offer before.
Feb-March will have regular decisions admission offers.
I hope they will make decisions next week throughout the week. Long story short, If my son doesn’t get his first or second choice of engineering major, there is no point of going to UT. After working in your desired stream for 2 years, no one cares from where you have graduated. He applied to some Canadian universities where co-op right from first year is big part of the program and you get to work in different industries. Students graduate with more than two years of work experience.
