@atx888 Yikes…so few! Wonder how many apply??? Thanks!
We attended an overview session in August. They said that last year (class of 2024) they had 2300 applications, 92 were accepted. I guarantee there are a lot more applicaitons this year making it even more competitive than normal. Sigh…
@atx888 Ugh…deflated! Thanks for info!
Did everyone get a MLK day email from them saying they look forward to celebrating it next year with you on campus??? I have not heard anything from them yet, so I am confused as to whether this means anything or if it was sent to everyone.
Seems like it was most likely sent to everyone sadly
Well that’s awfully misleading. To send everyone a “hope to celebrate this with you on campus next year”. Smh rejection is going to hurt.
I got that same email too. Part of me is still hoping that means an acceptance but I doubt it
I currently have a kid in the Liberal Arts Honors program at UT. Besides the advantages with small classes, priority registration, etc, I truly feel it is going to give him a leg up in the law school admissions process. If we had known more about Plan 2 when he applied, I think that is the way he would have gone. That being said, Plan 2 is so prestigious (like almost Ivy prestigious) and I think you would regret it later if you didn’t do it. @ceces_pizza123
I think we all got the MLK email
My son got mails and emails from Case Western almost every day, and then got deferred. These are just measures of marketing.
Lol, same! I kept thinking - wow, they are really interested in him. Then, deferred.
Hi guys I have a question. So if we applied for early decision, will we definitely get an offer by February. Also, do cap offers and rejections for early decision people come out exactly of February first or before that date?
My daughter & others got a birthday greeting which said “Hope to see you on Forty Acres someday soon”. I think its a standard message, sorry for getting your hopes down.
General chatter based on a college consultant’s post on REDDIT (see below) is that priority applications will hear before Feb 1. CAP will be announced next Friday, 1/29. I assume PACE and rejections will come out then too as historically those all came out at once. GOOD LUCK!
Fri., Jan. 15 - top 6% auto students mostly in state (about 6,000 students)
Fri., Jan. 22 - all admits except architecture & fine arts
Fri., Jan. 29 - CAP admits
What is CAP?
Do any priority OOS applicants get deferred? And if so, are their chances dramatically reduced? Thanks
I was wondering what if you are priority fine arts? Does this mean I will still get my decision after Feb 1?
I have a child currently in fine arts - they seem to be on a different schedule. Got acceptance notice around 2nd week of Feb. Not sure if this year is different - lots of fuzzy messaging around extended deadlines.
Did all top 6% priority in state auto students who would get accepted to their major get their decision last Friday, and what does this mean for students like me who haven’t gotten an update yet but are top 6% priority in state auto?
