Hey! I was wondering if anyone knew/has an idea of when they’re releasing OOS admissions. I know they say before February 1 but I also know they have done small waves of admissions in the past. I also see some in state non auto admits have heard back so wondering if that has an impact on admissions. If anyone knows please let me know!

Did anyone receive the 40 acres scholarship invite to apply?

My son received an email that he had moved on to the next stage in the 40 acres scholarship. He had to submit a new essay and an updated resume. He was told he would be notified mid-January if he had moved on to an interview.

He received it on 11/14 and supplemental information was due on 11/27.

He is top 2% in his graduating class. 1450 SAT (780 Math) submitted. NRP & National Commended Scholar. Multiple clubs, honor societies. Several leadership positions inside and outside of school. Founded a club. 3 PSAs. Multiple state and local awards. 4 year athlete.

Has applied to honors, hasn’t gotten major yet. 1st choice Chemical Engineering 2nd Biomedical Engineering. I don’t think any engineering majors have been released yet.

My son received an email inviting him to apply for the Forty Acres scholarship this evening.

My son received an invitation to apply for 40 Acres. It was due 11/27. 19 of 3200 or so invitees are chosen, it appears.

If you haven’t gotten a notice of moving on to the next stage yet, does that mean you weren’t picked? I still haven’t heard back for my major.

I’m not sure about the timeline. My son is still waiting to hear about engineering major also. He was an auto admit though.

Wow that’s early, thanks for sharing. I submitted right before the priority deadline, hope I’m still in consideration for the scholarship but idk I haven’t heard from them at all. Anyone else that submitted 10/30-31 or later hear from 40 acres scholarship?
