Hello everyone, I applied for Biology. Do I have to take the UTMA? If I do have to take it, do I take it after being admitted or before? Cause I did not submit any test scores. Thank you
How many people have heard back from moody?
Hi! I know UT admissions release dates are often unpredictable, but was wondering if, based on previous years and things that have happened, we could make an educated guess.
From what I know, in previous years, OOS and in-state admissions decisions were released in waves. So it would start small and progressively get larger, and these waves would happen in December. I also know last year and years past, these were mainly plan 2 major, but based on Reddit and other sources, I have heard there has been a very small wave that occurred this past week. (In-state and OOS and not all the same major).
Now, I know it is hard to know for sure what will happen, but I am assuming because there has already been a small wave, there will be a bigger one next week. It is weird to have such a small drop followed by nothing. Please let me know what you guys think and if you have any information on what waves have been like in previous years.
I know before COVID waves were a big thing are they transitioning back to waves?

Maybe! The regular decision application deadline just passed and not that they’ve looked thru every application thoroughly, but they do have more info now than before, and maybe will have filtered or sorted thru all of the applications in some way by next week?

It looks like some are starting to trickle out, and I suspect more will trickle out this week. But I think the majority of OOS apps will have to wait until January. Some schools within UT start early usually depending on how many applications they have to review. The less they have to review the earlier the decisions start to go out.

Right after transcript is received and reviewed for rank. My son sent his transcript in early July (way before he applied in mid-October). So when he opened his portal first time, it was stated there he was already automatically admitted. In most cases, it takes a few business days and usually no more than 2 weeks,
