My daughter (auto admit) got accepted to McCombs late yesterday afternoon. No email or mail correspondence, just a notification on her portal.

    -1490 SAT
    -6.79 weighted GPA
    -13 AP classes (7 completed and 6 currently taking this year)
    -founder/president of a high school club and member of several others
    -a good amount of meaningful charity work
    -lots of work experience at typical high school type jobs
    -no business clubs or business orgs
  • essays and expanded resume demonstrated business acumen

Our D was notified yesterday that she was accepted. Also in the portal. We are OOS. Not sure if that had anything to do with timing.

From the stats, looks like all exceptional students are being offered their major now. This includes auto-admit, outside top 6% in state and OOS.

Well, my kid has super high stats, and was also invited to apply to 40 Acres. He is not auto admit because he is homeschooled, so UT has said he has to have a 36 ACT to be autoadmitted. He has “only” a 35, with a 4.67 W GPA, National Merit Commended, and 54 community college credits by May. He hasn’t yet been admitted, and my understanding is that most people don’t hear anything until January if they applied Priority. I haven’t seen more than 1 or 2 acceptances to his major, ECE. Do you have some place that you are finding the information you posted about for exceptional students? Thank you for your help with this.

Your stats are impressive. I would think he shd easily make to the major of choice. I based my comments reading through here, Reddit and FB and was thinking aloud. I could be entirely wrong. Please don’t read too much into it.

Same. Our DD is also homeschooled, 34 ACT, 4.6 WGPA on track to complete 72 DE credits by graduation, 3 APs, Bronze Presidential Award, intensive ballet training (25-30 hrs/week). She just checked and wasn’t in this wave :frowning:

That 36/1590 cutoff is utter BS (she got a 1490 but only submitted her ACT).
