does UT release by major? If so whats the pattern on that?

This is what the UT admissions website says. Did it used to say “by Feb 1” or has it always said on Feb 1?

It has always been like that.

I know it’s stressful for us all! lol I was shocked to hear some kids in our state got their acceptance last Friday - maybe there’s no pattern to how they release decisions - but it definitely gets our minds going! Best of luck to everyone, if it’s meant to be it’ll happen!

No. UT and the UT system schools require official test scores.

So
if we state wanted scores considered, and did not have an official report sent, what will that mean for my review? My Status states I “opted into having their SAT or ACT scores considered as part of our holistic review process”

New game. It’s called, “Where Were You When
Decisions Came Out?” If it happens tonight, we’ll be on the way to ACC Highland for my kid’s Honors Engineering Physics 2 class. Hope we don’t wreck, either way ; )

Right. You do choose OPT IN, but UT does not consider self-reported scores. Many schools do
they let you send the official ones after you accept admission. UT related schools do not allow that
they make you send the official scores after you OPT IN.

and if we didnt? OOS and this is the only school tat asked for it. We missed it.

I’m sorry, I don’t have an answer. You’d think the admissions portal would automatically notify applicants if something was missing. Maybe you’ll get bumped to March 1st?

could it come how at 7 est?

They likely would have come out by now if it were tonight, correct?

It is really confusing, and I think a lot of people make this mistake. It is odd that a test-optional school would require people to pay for official scores instead of sending them for verification after being accepted. I don’t think it “hurts” you, but the scores will not be part of your review.

No. If it’s not out by 7, it’s not today

I think its usually 6pm
