UT Austin Class of 2028 Official Thread

I think 6-7 is the time it normally happens. I thought it was eastern so that time was closing, but it’s central so it has not even started yet!

Yes, I would assume that times referenced are the time zone of the university in question.

It’s 3:42 here! :grinning:

In the past, have applicants who waited until the end rejected? Just preparing myself, lol.

This is really complicated. Some years, they have only sent out rejections on 2/1. Other years, they have done rejections and acceptances on the final wave. This year, it seems like they will be sending a lot of acceptances, as well as rejections and CAP/PACE, in the final wave.

Two yrs ago I got into aerospace by December. (I’m here for my little bro) This whole concept of a massive dump by Feb 1 seems new, to me. So idk if we can use the past to predict

Just remember there were 66, 000 applicants last year. None of us can fathom that. Maybe there are a couple of hundred or fewer people on this thread, right? That is a teeny microfraction of the universe of applicants/competition. This year lots of top 20s had even MORE thousands of applicants than last year, and we don’t know if that was the same for UT yet (unless Texas politics is scaring students away, which I doubt). Soooooo… yes. At the end, MOST people will be rejected because only 8,000 of the megathousands get in (I think I have that number correct).
