UT Austin Class of 2028 Official Thread

I’m hoping for Feb. 1st. Definitely, though, I’m very annoyed with myself, lol. So much time spent on this the past couple of weeks, ugh. :weary:

the feb1st still there

My Texas public high school daughter told me that one of her AP teachers stopped class today to tell his students to check their My Status so they could stop stressing, get an answer, and focus on the remainder of class. I’m pretty annoyed about this: 1) No teacher should expect kids to handle such a momentous decision in the middle of class. 2) He would have known 99.99% that UT would not release decisions in the middle of the school day. I’m assuming that he thought that them checking and seeing nothing should allow them to focus on class work. 3). If UT Austin could just announce a specific time a few days in advance, none of these kids would even be stressed out during a school day.

I think that teacher was smart. Probably knew nothing would be there but probably helped ensure that people weren’t trying to sneak on their phones or anything. Just got it all over with.

Nothing changed. I guess we’re looking at tomorrow.

I see a session expiry added to the mystatus page to ensure people just dont leave the page open… Good sign.

Hoping we sèe the decisions tom.

That is built into the software for all colleges that use Slate, which is what UT uses.

I wouldn’t give up y’all until 8pm central time.

I never got this earlier, maybe they reduced the timeout

It’s not today.

In 2021 I think some decisions came out at 7:30pm…hopeful, but you’re probably right. Feb 1 is the magic number. Well, tomorrow this will be a fun chat group for sure, lol.

Well, tomorrow is the day I turn 18; hopefully, the AO’s got a birthday gift for me.

Say 2/1st @ 12AM EST or CST??? :grinning:

Who said that?

At this moment, there are 27 hours left per EST or 28 CST before the clock hits 12:00AM 2/2. UT is definitely procrastinating and betting on zero glitches with their system.

Well, I guess now I can say tomorrow is the day and know that it’s correct for a fact.

I’m thinking between 5:30 - 6 PM CST, but that’s uncertain.

Best of luck to all of you!
