Zrt42/ I don’t know why you are so incredibly protective of UT Admissions, but it’s seriously sus.
Seems to me because UT Admissions did exactly what they stated they would do on 1/15.
only in his own dictionary.
If UT did that, why does UT need to send out an email on 1/15 and then again last Friday?
UT failed to deliver from multi.
You guys already know what he is going to come back, why keep wrestling with him, myself included, just to kill the time while waiting for 2/15?
Hey everyone is entitled to an opinion and i fully respect yours.
So many times in life things are not earned by true merit but a multitude of other bs things someone with an agenda made up. I have learned too many times in life it just will never work the way (we think) it is supposed to 100%of the time. I feel lucky when it works out 50% the time.
Any perspectives on comparison between GT Comp Sci and UT Austin Comp Sci / Turing program? Thanks
Both fabulous schools for CS! I am not a CS guru though. So glad my son wanted to do science because CS is just the “holy grail” of majors to into these days. If you are lucky enough to get into both and get to choose, wow that would be so awesome! I hear GT is a beautiful campus but I am partial to UT as an alum. Sorry.
I was sleepwalking at GT and wrote some nonsense there, lol
GT slightly ahead adapting to AI revolution from the news I read.
On Reddit people are posting that their RIS has changed majors. My son has never been able to see a RIS page. Also people are saying their assigned advisor is removed.
You might look into this. I remember reading a discussion like a week or two ago where a mom gave info of how CS majors at UT learn in “pods” with mentors and the mom said it was a great experience. I think the thread was in the College Bound Texas FB forum but I couldnt find it. I did find a link to related info…might be worth checking out: CS Pods | Department of Computer Science
Not surprised.
I think it’s better if UT just eliminated early action so people cant complain about it.
Thanks
We are in the same boat. Both are excellent for CS, so my daughter is digging deep on the concentration/thread(cyber) she is interested in.
If your student gets into Turing then definitely UT wins. Check this link in CC, its a bit old thread but we can hear about Turing in here from a Turing student Turing Class of 2026
Thanks for sharing that looked at Turing 2026. Struggling with GT CS & UT CS (Turing) comparison with UMich BS CS + Ross BBA dual degree.
I agree.
Does anyone else’s “Mystatus” now have a yellow bar stating “portion down for maintence”?
Ours does, too.
